New idea for a Roulette "Minimum IL"

I think it isn't used much currently, and only for those who are seeking a challenge from the olden days of FFXIV's bosses and Alliance Raids.

I would love to see what Crystal Tower was actually like when it was first introduced considering we no longer see all the mechanics anymore, but I think there needs to be a bit of a incentive for players to go along with it so why not add another roulette "Minimum IL"? From there you pick and choose what type Trials or Alliance Raids, I left Dungeons out because most of the time you'll always will see everything those have to offer but over time Alliance Raids and Trials do get their mechanics phased out due to skips with the exception of a few alliance raids I think.

Would you all go for the extra challenge with a roulette like this? I would love to see what Xande was really like when the content was current back then.

I think this could be a really good idea! I feel like for some people, the rewards would have to be really good though. Some people just can't be bothered, so it might be dead. But for me, I would really love that, since I always enjoy a decent challenge with a decent reward.

I think rather than a Roulette, this could be better handled as a Daily Challenge. Right now the only thing we have for that is PvP/Frontlines, but you could have something like;

Daily Challenge: Minimum Item Level Dungeon
Daily Challenge: Minimum Item Level Raid
Daily Challenge: Minimum Item Level Trial

Complete with a set of achievements for completing such content (the current Daily Challenge: Frontlines rewards you with a mount via achievements, for example).

You also have to be careful in that (sorry not sorry) you don't want to attract the wrong sort of player to this sort of content, because frankly the majority of the player base just wouldn't be able to cope with certain instances.

I agree with the Daily Challenge aspect as opposed to the roulette idea. Roulette is synonymous with easy, braindead, xp. Minimum item level is nothing to scoff at, and people will get frustrated very quickly if they aren't aware of what they're getting themselves into.

I'd love to see this, if not just for the amount of epic failure that would ensue. It's hilarious to see people laugh at vanilla trials since they have literally 3 times the HP they did in era. Titan would be feasting on noobs, once again.

sorry but you cannot experience how old content was like by simply using the minimum item level, all old content became easier again when shadow bringers was released, enemies die faster and you take less damage because you have permanent tank stance on, you need final fantasy xiv classic for that.

That does sound much better, I forget that Daily Challenge is a bit lackluster currently.

Most people wouldn't want to run it. Trying to pug difficult fights at minimum ilevel? You've gotta be crazy.
