    Subtarget

    I have not seen anyone mention this so i will go ahead and see if anyone found this a problem. When you toggle off the sub target command its impossible to heal anyone including your self when targeting a monster.

    I would like to request just to make abilities that only effect hostile effect the sub target command.

    Example: Playing as PLD, if i try to use Holly Succor it will say you can perform that action on the target.

    This is not much problem on whm cause I hardly ever need to target the monster but it does suck solo when you need healing, and have to keep deselecting the mob to heal your self.

    this needs to be changed so that if there is no valid target it reverts back to subtarget mode, horrible right now, might be too hard for se to think about how to make things not suck though so im not holding out hope

    Agreed, it shoudl work like.
    • All friendly spells - Cure, Protect, Stoneskin etc should have sub targeting
    • All unfriendly spells - Fire, Thunder, Blizzard etc should have no sub targeting (even on controller its easier to have no sub-targeting for these spells)
    • All self buffs and abilities bard spells etc no sub targeting.
    I really do scratch my head sometimes in how SE manage to come up with fixes which just make situations worse.

    Whilst we are on the subject of targeting, please make commands for /target "name" and /target <p1> (p2,p3,p4 etc), it would be handy for situations when you need to quickly target something like the guard ants in CC.

    I agree. It is really annoying. Obviously I don't want to heal the mob so just automatically allow me to select target when I select a healing spell without having to manually untarget the enemy and target what I want to heal.

    Yes please. The subtarget is terrible right now.

    Not to say, the whole target system is terrible...

    I was excited to see changes to subtarget in the patch notes, but am rather unimpressed with upon testing it out, and have switched back to subtarget on already. Please fix Sub-targeting like jinko said
