Square Enix, please revert your changes! thank you!
i can handle the dead zones getting messed with. but i seriously can't handle slowing down the camera speed on diagonal directions. seriously! please fix! T_T

I... don't get it? Nothing changed for controllers.
Difference between standard movement and legacy? Try changing that option i would suggest.
Sounds like you need to increase analog stick sensitivity? I play with a controller on PC and haven't noticed any changes.
yes something did change.
1.) the dead zones were changed.
2.) STEAM doesn't even see the game as the same game causing a complete wipe of controller configs for this game.
3.) 1 can be confirmed because i was able to recover the controller configs by uninstalling the game. then re-install the game from my Heavensward discs. and, before updating the game, export the controller configs from STEAM. then import those back after updating the game. SO, the controller configs themselves have not changed. but yet with the release of Shadowbringers my config is now wonk. the dead zones were changed.
4.) when using the analog stick for camera movement, the speed is slowed down when moving through diagonal areas. this creates a huge inconsistency, and it wasn't there before.
all-in-all, everything was fine in Heavensward. with the release of Shadowbringers gamepad is now on the fritz. Square Enix clearly changed something.
i really don't understand why they would do it... there was nothing wrong with gamepad before, but now they ruined it.
I have noticed no changes. What are you talking about?
EDIT: This may be a steam thing then. I use a straight FFXIV client.
There were in fact no changes. There hasn't been a patch since 5.01 and you're only just now complaining?
That's a sign it's on your end.
Only thing i have noticed is occasionally (quite often) controller has a hickup and doesnt accept input for a second, once i have walked off the platform because of it.
I have read about a workaround for it but i dont like the tradeoff.
