God people, its not Savage, its designed to be all access. Get off your 1% high horses and just go in premade if healers who cant multi task bothers you so much.

I blame the community for that one. Especially in NA. Before I knew what class to pick, I avoided healing because I was new, not used to the controls, and kept seeing a high focus on healing+dps and info-graphs on weaving and this and that. To a new player who's never touched an mmo like XIV, it's intimidating. And this was when Heavensward was still new.

It's super simplified, but that old info is still out there and with jump potions, people cal get right up in there.

I think I'm an alright healer. I know my limits and can't DPS in wall to wall pulls, but heck, I'm sure some of the people in this thread would think I'm the worst healer they've ever encountered because I prefer to keep the tank over 30%

I was never happy to see how "healer focus on healing and DPS as a bonus" turn into "dont heal till your tank is 10% and cast as much as DPS as possible", i believe in heal first and only cast dps skill when the healer feel comfortable.

I play all three roles, WAR/GNB, AST, and most of the DPS. I can understand if a healer want to push for the limit in a pre-made, as a tank or dps I know what my healer capable of, so I could adjust accordingly. However, in DF, I never let the tank drop below 40% unless it is a boss fight (wont go down to 10% either).As a tank seeing the healer dropping my HP so low and I have to pray the healer do not forget to get me back up or no sudden lag spike, it is very stressful, and such stress is not induce by the game play itself but the other party member.
