After a bit of silence on the topic Yoshida reconfirm in his recent live letter that the Beauty Salon will be making it to 2.1 as was suggested during the beta sessions.

While its too late to expect Square to be taking requests for the 2.1 release what are you crossing your fingers to see?

I'd be happy to just have access to a good portion other races' hairstyles. Sounds easy enough to add and would greatly expand options. Maybe for lore reasons limit players to their standard race hairstyles during creation, but able to get other race hairstyles from the salon.

Another addition I like to see in the distant future is being able to have multiple face paint layers. But that might be something for when the average PC is better and the PS4 has mostly phased out the PS3.

A part of me is happy about the salon but then the other part of me is like "This heavy armor won't let me see my hair during dungeons and such." :/ Rawr..

You say that without realizing it was a PLD you were answering. Our trashcan DL body armor is a full head/body piece and the "head" part can't be hidden under any circumstances, which is moderately sucky.

Some tank armors are chest and helmet in one. You can't hide the head part because it's attached to the chest. So those tank armors cover your head

For that matter, the robes you're wearing in your profile pic are one-piece, Whosie! You can't toggle that off.

I'd like more long hair options for Elzen males, but I know it's a pipe dream hell the female characters have a hard enough time getting anything beyond shoulder length...

The reason they don't have many long hair styles is because they are afraid of clipping.
