Which Server best for UK Players/Community?

Hi all, I'm currently on the light data centre on Shiva and am levelling up my first character- immensely enjoying it. However, I heard that Shiva is not so great for English players and in the long run there isn't that much of a UK base there.

In the long run for me on the Light Data Centre, which server is the best one for a UK player looking for an active online community around the server/good sociable UK based FC's?

Try Twintania, it's brand new so all of the new folk are there, multiple languages of course but there's plenty of folks who speak English! Seeing as Twintania is a new server as well there's brand new FCs sprouting up, the best place to be. If you create a character on Twintania you get a buff called 'Road to 70' which gives you a massive exp buff in regards to all activities, as well as a one million gil rewarded to you once you get a class to 30. I think there's more rewards, but that's all I remember at the moment. Good luck!

Edit; of course Twintania is also on light, so you'll be around folks who are on similar times to you! And Twintania is less congested due to it being new. Any luck I'll see you around since I'm also on light, haha.

I play on Malboro as a European ~ Netherlands. Followed a friend from Ireland first, he since did move servers to an other American on Primal and since the datacenter switch we're not even on the same datacenter anymore... Since I kind of grew attached to some people on Malboro and also having a house there I decided to stick around there.

It is nice but maybe not the best advice as a play base though. Because their peak is a bit off the European peak obviously. Also I think maybe my responses may be slower due to being further away from the server making game play a slight bit harder, maybe? Though I find if I stick to hugging the healer I'm usually ok with avoiding random enemy crap, that is ... if they know what to...
Am sorry I can't really help on what's the best server for you. I have an alt on Shiva but I really did because I had read somewhere that it is where the Germans hang out more and I thought it would be good to maybe improve my language skills, but I hardly ever play there, I feel lonely compared to my home on Malboro. Despite them being a big server I think?

So well I am sorry I can't really help you. You are free to come over to Crystal, but you may be happier with the people on our side of the Atlantic Ocean because of when people are around. I mostly play with the Morning/(early)Afternoon Americans and the few from all over the rest of the world including Europeans who do play on Malboro/Crystal too.
Still one also needs to look at gameplay. As much as I would love to play more harder content. My real life disabilities sometimes get in the way so I am forced to being more for casual content most of the time (it depends on my better days I can do harder stuff with more ease too). If you want to play more Savage End game stuff, be good at dodging things fast, then a European based server may be a little nicer? Though if your connection is well enough and if you are good it shouldn't matter so very much I guess?

Id suggest Zodiark.English is the main spoken language on this server.There's a lot of uk players here and the ones that arent from uk generally have quite a good level of english too.
Its a very friendly and active community.Daily hunt trains.You'll see plenty of people about.Getting into a decent fc shouldnt be an issue and the market board prices are genuinly quite good.
I wouldnt reccomend Twintania in its current state.Its a new server and you get the bonus yes.However its flooded with bots and rmt seller accounts.Most of the rmt sellers advertising on other servers have been comeing from there.They use Twintania to make accounts and then use world visit to advertise on other servers.There's also the issue with the market there.Right now its really bad.Because whats happened is a bunch of older players have moved there and set all the prices to rediculous amounts to try and rip off new players.You can world visit to go to other market boards but it shouldnt be a situation where you have to do this any time you want to purchase something.

Odin also has a large uk playerbase being the main english speaking server.However its very congested right now meaning you probably cant make a character there.There hunt scene is also the most toxic out of all the data centres so if you have an interest in future hunting its probably the worst server to go to.
The server is also highly raid focused with probably the best player skill average of all the eu servers on that database.So if raiding is your end game goal you'll likely want to move there eventually.

Phoenix seems to have quite a friendly playerbase.Not sure about the level of activity there though or the main language.

Cant say much about Shiva or Lich.I think both these servers have the highest german playerbase?

As for the other eu data centre i havent heard great things about most those servers.All i know is if you do switch to that datacentre avoid moogle server at all costs.

Thanks guys! I'm not going to hop server just yet because I'm early enough in the game and very much quest line focussed that I imagine I'll be spending most of my time as I have now just pushing through the story and when I finish A Realm Reborn, look to do raids and actively play with a gree company. I'll be moving then, but your advice has helped me focus my search on the community pages outside of the game etc. Thanks so much everyone!

It's super congested actually. Being a new server means people are world visiting to avoid the congestion of their own home worlds, and bots are clogging up zones left and right since they're getting the Road to 70 buff and levelling up ridiculously fast.

Phoenix is actually a pretty nice server, although we're pretty congested atm so you can't make a character here yet. There's plenty of English speaking players and the community is moderately nice although you do have a few who like to spoil it for everyone.

Guess there really isn't many Spriggan players on this board. It's a nice cozy server, and while this is not going to be part of my vocabulary, they are what you people would call "chill". I'm under the 90d restriction there, but I'm not transferring off it. It feels like home now.
