SH's offer the same content as the dungeons. also there are tons of roaming NM's and even more random caves to explore.
Yes but the open world doesnt offer cutscenes, all cool zones should offer cutscenes

I am ok with instances if there are no party/level requirements. But I know that will never happen so therefore I am against instances -- at least a proliferation of them.
okay then an instance with 2-3 groups of partied allied, they could be epic day running campaigns, where you use item tent to afk and regen armor damage. and losts of chests discovered by all parties
that would then be its correct definition raid right?

Syntax is just trolling you cuz of his apparent love for instanced content. QUIT IT SYN!
GO GO Non-instanced content!
I'd be happy with as little instanced content as is possible. I've always found it exciting to also spectate and compete with other players, especially since this isn't a PvP based game. Kept things interesting for me. Though Yoshi did say that alot of XIV will be instanced, I'm hoping that plan gets derailed if/when he sees the popularity of the sposed large-scale open world content whenever it hits..
Giving players a toggle to turn on/off seems a bit confusing and potentially highly exploitable, especially because it would seem hard to design content intended for specific conditions (8 ppl max, time limit, level reqs) and at the same time still have it offer a challenge to what you'd potentially experience in open world. I think it's possible, but would be pretty difficult to balance.
i probably will be playing gw x; just wish it was ff themed!
