Leave it be. If the healer uses it to grief you, just report them like you would any other form of griefing.
No support for this idea at all.
As a healer main, I use Rescue a LOT to help pull DPS into the proper location so they can keep doing their thing up until they need to be out of [insert aoe here]
If there was a toggle to turn it off you'd see way more deaths than you do now from people tunneling so hard about their numbers.

No, some people need to be reminded not to be somewhere when they should be elsewhere. These are generally the same people that would enable such toggles.

I use it when i try to save someone, sometimes they die anyways but considering they would have died without my rescue I don't see the issue with it. If you want to stand in AOE to have your deeps i'll not stop to heal you up after it.
The only time i use it to troll is on friends, and they use it on me to troll, and it's hilarious but I'd never troll someone with it if I didn't know them. Wich is also why "I see it being used to troll people" means nothing because you don't know if they know eachother.
If someone uses it on you to troll then report them.

Yet another thread showing how creepy this community is. Someone suggests an option for someone to opt out of being targeted by an ability and people flock to defend their 'right' to move another character around. When the proper response would be:
"I respect your desire to not be targeted by this and will refrain from doing so."
Instead its: "Get screwed, you get pulled where -I- want you to."

No thanks. It's already hard enough for me to use rescue when it IS useful. Idk if it's lag or what, but it feels like it takes ten years for th cast to even go off. By the time it actually yanks somebody toward me, the big wall of fire or whatever has usually already smacked them down.
It's already only useable in combat, which helps. Only time I've had someone use it to mess with me (knock on wood) was my friend I was in vc with... and sometimes friends just be that way.
Rescue is a useful tool to teach people not to stand in stupid.
I'll raise you a delete Rescue. Seriously, the skill should never have been implemented.Title. Rescue has its uses, but sometimes it can do more harm than help for a player, such as interrupting casts or sending them into an AoE. While Arm's Length/Surecast allows for temporary protection against an unwanted use of the skill, it is not always up for situations that such might happen. Sorry if this has already been posted before.
Counterargument:
A toggle permanently disabling cast of Rescue on a given player could present the following problems: It could prevent the healer from saving certain players in danger, or make it harder to find and report those that abuse the skill.

I think the better idea would be to give it a 20% dmg reduction for a few seconds, like 3-6s. Single target. Or even a nullify next hit or something.
I've personally never had it used on me in a helpful manner. Usually when a healer tries to be 'helpful' they use it on me when I'm mid combo/rotation and it screws it up. Either I've chosen to eat the hit (in non-current content that doesn't hit as hard) and I'll just potion myself, or I'll jump/teleport out myself. In either case, I'd prefer the healer stay on the tank or do damage. And then my buddy who normally tanks, usually gets it cast on them about one out of three dungeons, and its always to the detriment of the group since it causes boss to cleave or pull the boss out of position. He knows when to run out of AoE last second and back in (as a tank is supposed to) and he knows which AOEs he can just cooldown through if needed.
It seems like the majority of time the healers that use this ability are not well versed in the game and how other classes operate. Decent healers I've never seen use unless its someone I know and they're trolling a friend.
