Not quite; people still needed to accept Tractors in FFXI.I love it. It's like tractor from ffxi except I can use it before people die.

Considering how buggy it is, it can trap you in terrain and rarely has a valid use, I'm not sure about your point. But if you can tell me any valid reasons to use it where as a heal or simply the other person moving wouldn't suffice, I'd like to hear it. Even my FC healers know it's a practically useless skill due to uncontrollable delay and response, and simply use it when they are bored and want to do more so pull half the dungeon then rescue me into the pack to AoE tag them onto me.No.
The proper usage of Rescue is far more common than the trolling usage. And half the time when people THINK they are being trolled with Rescue, they aren't. They just don't understand the (valid) reason they were rescued and don't bother to ask, and instead come to complain here and on Reddit.
Thank goodness it can only be used in combat at least.
If you are being trolled with Rescue, report it if you are that petty and just move on. There is a difference between someone pulling you for their own selfish reasons or somebody else actually helping you in a split second.
And? I don't see people asking to delete Raise - because ya know if they die "that's a player problem."
No thanks. Most of the time when I rescue someone out of an AE, they get all insecure about it and whiny... but they are alive. Personally I think it's fun if a healer uses it on me.
Standing in AE and eating damage isn't really "your choice"... when healers have to clean it up or others have to rezz you and the group loses dps. People will argue for anything.
They already get a 100% damage debuff for the time they are dead and a 25% damage debuff for the next two minutes after they're raised. If people don't care about that they're not gonna care about this either.5: Players who negate attempts to Rescue them and die up to 5 seconds after the attempt are hit by a Damage Down debuff for the rest of the duty.
Instead of removing it, change it so we can use it out of battle. It would be infinitely more useful then!
Titania EX when someone screws up Phantom Rune, because they will most of the time run off the side. Granted, they should've moved ahead of time, but things happen.Considering how buggy it is, it can trap you in terrain and rarely has a valid use, I'm not sure about your point. Dragoon is love,
Dragoon is life,
Dragoon is tanking the floor
so we don't wipe.
Do we need an even number of role skills? If an ability is functionally useless, it should either be made useful or removed.
For example, Repose, Foot Graze, and Leg Graze are borderline useless.
If Repose wasn't required for a role quest, I'm not sure where I could see a current application for it. Since most mobs in Heavensward+ dungeons are straight up immune to it.
The most I could see Foot/Leg Graze used is in open world. Unfortunately these aren't very useful for that since Brd/MCH/Dnc don't have issue killing mobs. Additionally, kiting is notoriously bad due to the short leash range of mobs in this game.
Regarding Rescue itself, it needs to be updated. With game ticks, most lethal effects will still kill the target anyways due to the slow response of the inital effect + the drag time.
It would be more useful if it didn't move them, but served as a Super-Esuna/Reraise with a short duration(6s at the most) allowing for removal/temporary debuff protection from any debuff/effect and essentially acting like a Living Dead with an auto Benediction that ends the effect. Of course a raid wipe mechanic would circumvent this.
This way it would protect against/remove knockback, confusion, vulnerability, and even weakness effects, while removing the ability to grief other players. Bump the cooldown up to 300 seconds, maybe even longer so it isn't abused, to balance the changes out. If Rescue is needed more frequently than that, especially considering raids have 2 healers, a more significant problem exists.
