    Question regarding twitch advertising.

So I have a question, is it against Final Fantasy 14 rules to advertiise your twitch stream ingame? Or is it allowed as long as its not being spammed?

I was told you get banned for it, but I cant find anywhere that says you cant do it, other than spamming being bad behaviour which is completely reasonable

The terms of service have 2 points that could potentially be used against this, even though it's not stated explicitly that you cannot advertise your Twitch stream.
If you however make revenue through your twitch stream, then it's forbidden, as it violates the following point:

2.3 Commercial Use. You may not exploit the Game for any commercial purpose (for example, advertising any product or service in-game, or use by the operator of a cyber café) without Square Enix's prior written consent.

So the devil is in the details really for this....

I think you could probably get away with saying something like "Everyone say hi, you're on stream!" If someone is interested, they can PM you for the channel info. I would assume that would be acceptable since you're not actually advertising your channel.

I doubt it but then you have to deal with people's perception of the practice.

Ask your question there. You'll receive a response or be contacted by a GM. If you receive a response that doesn't answer your question (I've received a response about botting when the question was about RMT), you can reply to it and try asking to be contacted by a GM.

To be honest, though, it doesn't matter if they say it's not allowed. GMs will just read you what's in the ToS. There have been several players advertising Twitch streams in the Party Finder and all contain requests for real-money donations or services for real money, yet they remain. Doesn't matter if GMs aren't allowed to do anything because any "investigation" by the STF should take no time given it's actual website links.
