Like "Extreme Roulette & Savage Roulette" and let those roulettes give MSQ high rewards since they are considerably more challenging to do and to make up for the fact that you will be a bunch of randoms. And maybe have it so when a new expansion drops their Extreme/Savage trials/raids cannot be in the Extreme/Savage roulette until a month after the content drops, as to give the community time to look at guides/experience the content on their own before throwing them with a bunch of randoms.
This still wouldn’t work. While interest in EX is higher than Savage, there are still a lot of players on NA/EU that won’t even touch either content. I’d imagine the queue times for these would be very long. And, with the sync system in place, some fights would turn out to be much harder than they were when relevant due to job changes—especially if Coils were thrown in there, because there are jobs that are radically different from how they were in 2.0~2.x and toolkits at level 50 have just been pruned too much. I had a friend earlier actually telling me of his static doing minimum item level T5 (Twintania). Because the tanks do not have as many cooldowns as they did in the past, some of the busters were actually very beefy. Not to mention, healers and DPS are also missing resources that were commonly used back then too (e.g., Stoneskin).

This isn’t even mentioning how some would probably just leave the Roulette if they get a fight they don’t like or one that is “harder” than the others (this already happens in Mentor Roulette—it is very common to see mentors bail the moment an EX trial pops up in there).

I think this content works better for NA/EU in the PF. I don’t think we need a Duty Finder Roulette for it, even if it’s for older content. And current Savage/EX never has issues with getting parties together. PF is littered with parties during the tier.

And this is coming from someone who would actually like the idea of a harder content roulette. I just recognize that it is very likely to not be feasible.

Extreme fights aren't usually queued for in the Duty/Raid Finder even when they're current, because they are difficult content requiring 8 people who are at least somewhat familiar with the fight mechanics and their own roles. But for old extremes, there are often Party Finder groups for running them unsynced, and you can form one of those. Old extremes are required for the weekly Wondrous Tails challenge, so people are still running them regularly through Party Finder.

Another option is to simply go unsynced and solo the fight. This particular one you used as an example I solo'd as level 70 PLD before the current expansion, can't say what kind of level you would need for other jobs. Soloing the old extremes can be a fun challenge too, when they're not too much below your current level.

To each their own. But if you don't like the story in this game then you really need to be playing something else.

The confusion probably stems from the fact that Ravana EX and Bismarck EX's questlines are grouped into the Warring Triad questline, as they are received from Unukalhai after starting the series; however, they are not necessary to complete to begin "When the Bough Wakes," the quest that unlocks the Sephirot fight. This may have been different at launch (I didn't start playing until SB), but all the old sources I can find indicate that you never needed to complete Ravana EX and Bismarck EX to unlock the rest of the Warring Triad quests.

Gotta do extremes when they're relevant if you want an easy time finding parties. If you intend to do them synced with their original difficulty. You missed the boat on this one by several years. Roulette is not the answer. Extremes are very punishing for mistakes and *have to* know the fight to clear it. The chance of you successfully completing a several year old Extreme in Duty Finder synced is very low.

No one does the synced version of Thok ast Thok (Extreme) when you can do it unsynced and kill him in a matter of seconds. There is also no "Extreme Roulette", so unless people specifically queue for this fight (they won't, there's no reason to), you'll never get in.

You're much better off in Party Finder. This fight is routinely part of Woundrous Tails, I see it posted in PF all the time. No one cares if you're new, the fight is face roll easy.

This is a horrible example to use for complaining about queue times.

Didn't they unlock this in Shadowbringers after you complete THE TWINNING?
I doubt very many people use it BECAUSE of that, and they like to be choosey with their party, but I'm pretty sure it at least exists.

Is it possible that you're thinking about the Expert roulette that we have since ARR now and that always includes the latest max level dungeons?

At least I dont have a roulette that includes Ex-primals, except for the mentor roulette that basically includes... everything.

I feel it's safe to assume you've never actually done an extreme trial. If you had, you would realize pretty fast why they aren't in standard roulette rotation. They require pretty high levels of precision and cooperation compared to normal mode trials, and they aren't something you can just face roll when sync'd. And expecting players to remember how to clear every single EX trial off the top of their heads isn't going to end well.
