Follow me here, since we already convert lightning aether into out weapons, at 20 battery or 40 or 50 whatever it converts flamethrower, into a giant Tesla coil cannon that arcs between the enemy's.If they want to make something that you can spend Battery on in AOE they could just boost the potency for Flamethrower and attach a battery gauge requirement to it. That gives Battery an AOE use while also giving what strikes me as the biggest question mark in the kit a more defined use case.
Honestly it would be kinda cool if we could throw some dynamite on a group of mobs and detonate it and cause fire damage over time, something like you place it down and then detonate it with flamethrower.I honestly was thinking so too. Having an AoE battery gauge spender would be nice.
But then i considered that we have no way to build battery gauge in aoe. So if we had a spender, people would probably complain about not having an aoe builder.
Does kinda suck to have an entire resource sitting there unable to use it properly in aoe.
When it comes to aoe i'd like to see Wildfire's explosion become aoe as well. Put it on a mob in the middle of the pack, HyperCharge, Autocrossbow spam & then it detonates in an aoe with some falloff damage.

Just another thought...why can't they have made Spread Shot upgrade to Grenado Shot. I miss that move too. Looked so cool. Haha. I mean don't get me wrong some of the new skills look awesome, like Drill or Air Anchor. But then it would be a circle aoe instead of a cone aoe.

I mostly think it feels odd that Flamethrower doesn't generate Heat. AoE battery spender would be nice, and I like the suggestions of giving a buff after using Air Anchor that lets Spread shot generate it for a few shots. They just can't let it generate it in a burst else you might use it in single target.
Heck, this would be a bunch more work so I don't think they should do it, but add the Noiseblaster or Chainsaw as an AoE version of Air Anchor, and Bishop as the AoE battery spender.
Some personal changes I would like to have:
- A continuation like combo from gunbreaker and the return of the ammo gauge.
- Spread shot upgraded into auto crossbow with higher potency
- A 2-3 step AoE combo
- Return of the rook and bishop turrets on a 10-15 second timer
- AoE automaton/airship to summon using 100 battery gauge
- The heat gauge used for high potency attacks
- Return of a self buff, like hot shot, that uses either battery or heat gauge
- Flamethrower changed into a high potency AoE with fall off
Gauss and Ricochet share recast timer pot doubled to make up for it
just to cut back the chaos that is heat blast
cross bow should trigger the 15 second reduction for better AOE
flamethrower just becomes the old bard skill flaming arrow
And Automaton queens a bit faster
