I wanted to take a moment of my time to sit down and write to you a heartfelt letter in regards to Shadowbringers. Let me begin by saying that in my TWENTY YEARS of playing MMORPGS - I have never been left so in awe of a job well done on an expansion.
The expansion began with an immersive experience of your character being ripped through time and space to another world, The First. From there, we meet our beloved G'raha Tia as the Crystal Exarch. (C'mon, we all knew who it was and we LOVE him!)
From there, the story progressed to some very dark questlines such as the questline with Tesleen and the Sin Eaters. In the past, the MSQ had been almost too upbeat: But that questline in particular had my mouth gaping IRL and to be honest, I was sort of shell shocked. (Which made it all the more amazing.)
Throughout the MSQ I was sitting at the edge of my seat. I gathered my snacks, my drink and my boyfriend and the entire time I was utterly enraptured by the story. The woman who wrote the MSQ needs to write all of the future MSQ content. It was riveting, exciting, and THE single best storyline of any MMO I've ever had the pleasure of playing.
You fell in love with Emet-Selch: You sympathized with him and his plot for the rejoining and watching the Warrior Of Light crack under the pressure, spitting up as he's turning into a Sin Eater himself was absolutely INTENSE.
I was so very happy to see Adbert reunited with his friends at the end of the MSQ. My heart bled for this poor soul the entire MSQ - and I could think of no one better to narrate the entire thing.
I am left biting at the bit for more content, more story and I absolutely cannot wait for future patches. I've already gotten my money's worth and then some. I have recommended this game to literally everyone I know and I've gotten quite a few to come join us.
In closing, I just wanted to thank you all again for such a wonderful experience. I joined when Heavensward launched and I will absolutely be playing until the servers come down one fateful day.
P.S. My only complaint is that two expansions later, I'm still having Haurchefant's painful memory slapped into my face. Rest in peace my elven friend.
