A mere 100ms ping time isn't unusually high for this type of game, and certainly does not make it unplayable.Requesting NA East Coast servers for this game please! With the growing popularity, one would think that the high population of players in this part of the world would make it worth the investment. Playing an online game at 100ms ping is pretty rough at times. Please SE! Make it happen! Please!

This sounds like you dont actually optimize your mch gameplay and land 6 gcd in a 10 second window, lol. Maybe your internet is just that god tier; who knows. But I need less than 100 ping to play mch. It's common knowledge that Mch right now is a very ping sensitive class due to how landing the final gcd in wildfire, even if you shoot it before it lands, can sometimes not register. What kind of backwoods Internet are you all playing with? I honestly never experience lag, and live in Florida. The game runs silky smooth, and to the person saying MCH is unplayable I have no idea what you’re talking about since I main MCH and never have issues. If the game ran as poorly as you all are making it out to be why would anyone play it?
And it's only with Ninja or Mch that I have an issue with this with, since they are the ping heavy classes, Ninja being much moreso than the other (even with 80 ping, I cannot double weave DWAD and Kassatsu. Rip opener and optimal usage.)
I don't have an issue optimizing or playing classes except those two.
Can make like 1 or 2 classes unplayable, and a whole lot of others inconvenient, but that only really matters to people that want to minmax like me. Not sure if many people in the thread are of that same mind, but that's about the only reason why ping matters. This game is 100% playable otherwise w/ even like 150 ping if you're not looking to double weave and do openers and fit windows

East coast servers doesn't solve anything, because then the other half of the raid group who is on the west would have the same problem.
This is why we need one set of CENTRALIZED servers.

Its not even that bad for a first person shooter where latency is a far more noticeable issue.
As I said before, if you're on the east coast (like I am) and you're having network issues. Its not your location. And when I say I'm east coast, I mean as far east as you can get in the US. The ocean is literally a 5 min drive from here. What is going to cause you problems is an aging infrastructure. Network jitter where your latency spikes up and down will cause far more issues than higher ping. A ping that is unstable in the 30-120ms range is worse than a stable 200ms ping.
Point is, they could make these servers, and you all would still have the issues you are having.
Oh, not in east coast? That explains my 270-330ms ping instead of 150-180ms from Argentina!Requesting NA East Coast servers for this game please! Adding East Coast server or Central servers would be great! It will show how serious SE is. Right now the game is doing good. I think it time to expand the servers locations. Bring more choices and less technical problems with ISP. That would be awesome gift for the community.

I think they should spread the data centers out. Maybe have one in California, one in Texas, and one in New York. If all 3 have to be in the same location, it should be close to the center of the country.
1 gbe fiber, no issue with server pings get better isp. I'm in Canada in CST.

More important is a jitter free connection, It's a lot harder to play if it misses a server tic because of dropped packets.
I play a very reactive play style, Most of the time I don't worry about learning fights because I can just react to what is happening. Don't get me wrong learning a fight is the difference between reacting and feeling like the fight is super slow. When I learn an EX fight I find I have so much time between GCD and OGCD.

People be under the impression the NA servers are for USA alone, well they are not. They serve NA, Central/South America and any other outlying areas, so just because Central (USA) servers seems good, it would actually affect a lot more players than you think. Think OCE players deserve a data centre much more honestly....
