East Coast Servers Please!

Requesting NA East Coast servers for this game please! With the growing popularity, one would think that the high population of players in this part of the world would make it worth the investment. Playing an online game at 100ms ping is pretty rough at times. Please SE! Make it happen! Please!

Agreed I don't bother using rescue because for all I know the guy I'm trying to resuce on my screen is out of the ae already or it takes too long to register anyway and he gets hit. Clipping on double weaves always happens, interrupting spells in pvp is 100% not possible unless I can see into the future since half the cast bar complete on my screen= the spell has already went off. Bio into fester will make it so fester doesn't get bio's bonus because it took too long to apply despite being an instant cast. Could list so many examples.

Back in arr when they were in montreal everything happened when I pressed the button and no one slid and jerked around on my screen.

Definitely need some East Coast servers. The whole game is laggy. I have actually gotten used to playing it like such, do everything early! Suzaku was a nightmare when i first did it.

We did have one by the East Coast and SE went and moved it to Canada...

I live on the east coast and the game plays perfectly smooth and I’ve rarely experienced lag.

Well this isn't entirely accurate.
We had servers in Canada, Montreal specifically, which is kinda close to the US east coast (Canadas east coast is much much further).
They took those out of Canada and migrated them to California, where SE HQ is.

Prefer centralized server so I could still play with my west coast friends without either of us getting screwed

Canada is where they started. They moved to the US. Just... the west coast thereof.

Centralized would be most preferred, but man. I live in on the east coast myself, and find it rather difficult to play some ping heavy classes, if impossible to play some. Not that Dark Knight is one of them, but double weaving is definitely more difficult than I remember it being from when I last played... To the point where I have to use wtfast to do it properly w/ 0 issues. Not to mention, a lot of whats wrong w/ having west coast servers means that east coast players, most of them even if they USE a ping enhancer, still cannot play ping heavy classes like Ninja or Machinist. I can barely play machinist with Wtfast, I can't imagine how someone w/o it would try to. And by play, I mean fitting 6 GCD's into Wildfire. It's just inconvenient for east coast players, less so for people in central, and fantastic for west coast.

Worst part is, when the servers were in Montreal, I went on and moved to the east coast for reasons unrelated to FFXIV, and now they're all the way in the west. Talk about a bad turn of fate, eh?

I've been playing various types of online games for well over 20 years now from the east coast. Never have I had trouble on a server on the West Coast, Central, Canada, or even in Uk or Germany (used to play on some EU servers in a FPS quite a while back). If shooters work fine, and other MMOs with faster GCDs can work fine. Then the issue you all are having isn't the location.
