Let me take a wild guess, you did NOT read what you linked, right?Visualizing Sex as a Spectrum
Sex redefined
Scientists, including biologists, disagree on sex being purely binary.

I certainly did. Did you? The process of sexual differentiation in the womb has multiple steps, each influenced not only by genetics, but also hormones and environmental factors just like any other part of human development. The result is that binary male or female sex is not a guaranteed result. The second one in particular talks about that.
Here is a good and thorough Twitter thread on the subject with citations.

He's talking about people who are classed as intersex, it is still classed as a disorder of development. It is not common, it is not the norm and a lot of folks who have these orders have health issues due to it. Most people who are born into this also don't call themselves 'they/them' a lot of them are happy simply picking their gender they consider themselves - less 'they/them' and more 'he/she'. I suggest not speaking for them unless you are one of the rare individuals who was born like this and even then don't it's rude, you can't speak for the masses. They do not need white knighting.I certainly did. Did you? They speak of physically intersex people, not mentally. Even going to the point of "It is worth noting that I never talk about transgender in this thread. Intersex is not the same as transgender. You can be one without the other, or be both. " So, they are just doing what a biologist does.I certainly did. Did you? Using Twitter as a reference is... probably not a good idea. Briefly scrolling through the responses and you already have people with verified credentials discrediting the person. I won't comment myself on the subject because I have no interest continuing down this rabbit hole. What I'll say instead is this remains a very divisive topic that is best kept away from a gaming forum.I certainly did. Did you? "Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."
Probably gonna get crucified for this, but here we go.
I don't think any of the gender identity stuff is real. It seems like a ploy for attention from people who likely have other stuff going on, causing them to suffer.
Not trying to be mean here, but I can't really see someone like this with anything other than pity at best, or indifference at worst.
I don't think encouraging this further in a game is a good idea.

I am highly offended by your comment, I'm a "male" but not male nor a woman, just something that is a male but at the same time is not.Probably gonna get crucified for this, but here we go.

And I'm kidding about being offended.
You're highly probably right, we're making our own Personality preferences into genders. I am me and that's it, I don't even know why I should have a different label, and to be honest I don't want it and I feel pissed at everyone who tries to give me a different label just for not being the average male.

Everyone is suppose to self insert.I wonder what percentage of players play their character as if it were themselves compared to controlling a separate entity that they don't insert themselves into.
I've always thought of my game characters as someone else that has nothing to do with me and I'm just along for the ride.

This thread has become something completely unrelated to FFXIV lol...
Might as well share this then https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzNGkwGYE4E

You're not entirely wrong. A lot of people think simply breaking gender status quo makes them nonbinary....it doesn't. It's way deeper than what cloths you wear or how you keep your hair, but has become a fad - not much different than the emo/goth/ whatever phase we see trending every few years. For every real case, there's two who are just jumping on the bandwagon.Probably gonna get crucified for this, but here we go.
