Right, the character that we the players get to make and customize. But hey, I'm sure you'd be just as happy if they forced everyone to play the same dude in this MMO.

I'd say that they did a lot more work to make a whole new race of cat men to appeal to furries, but Squenix did it and it was a huge hit.

It's no secret that I'm Trans and my best friend is nonbinary. This isn't about you, this is about the Warrior of Light: And maybe, the Warrior of Light is not non-binary.

That would be an insane amount of work for a very small percentage of people. At the end of the day, you are a minority. A minority who did get a shoutout in Il Mheg. Be happy that you received inclusivity at all rather than demanding more.

the development team is already working their hineys off, and are still working on getting headgear fixed for Viera and Hrothgar, what you are asking is hours of work to include something your imagination easily could do for you.

I honest to god cannot see the point in including this in the game, sorry, they have more important things to do that'll please a wider part of the player base than a fringe few that easily can just develop their own RP headcanons and be done with it.

As for the pixies, I think they didn't used gendered pronounce in my language so with the exception of the term King instead of Queen for Titania I didn't notice anything.

The character we make in the game is, to some extent, a reflection of us. It's also clear that, even with the limitations we have in the character creator, the people in the world we play in have just as much variety in personalities, appearances, and identities as we do in the real world. Allowing for some variety in pronouns reinforces that.

The pixies using gender neutral language and being natural and unobtrusive about it is one of the best parts of that, really. The fact that you didn't notice the lack of gender in their speech is a win and it goes to show that this is really possible to do without disrupting anything in game for other players.

No it isn't, because currently the pronouns are linked to another piece of data (the character's gender, part of the information already used to display the character model). Splitting them away from that requires a new piece of data that doesn't currently exist.

Cinnanmonoreo due to the fact that this games code is so old and the pronouns are tide to the sexes, it would not be do-able in my opinion. Maybe in a future game but remember that this game is going out to a huge variety of people but concept of nonbinary is new to the world let alone games. It's something games will have to catch up to, which I'm sure they will in the future. They may use the wrong pronouns to you but always remember it is nothing personal to you and they are not trying to attack non-binary people.
