    [1.21 Boss fight are nice... But don't they feels a bit "Old styled" ? And in 2.0...]

    I really hope that with 2.0 fights will become more dynamic and less static...
    Ifrit was a good start, but the current engine/servers (action lock/lag ) made it annoying... Those fight compared to it feels too much "Old styled" ...

    These are simply tank&spank and essentially everyone is in static positions (or so) ...then some adds pop ... nothing much to do.. simply nuke them asap..

    I think that Chimera could be really more fun if the sand vortex where random pop...
    Same with the thunder cloud.. What about to make it pop on the head of someone, so the poor unlucky guy needed to move from thunders before he die standing there? No, you simply have to found your godlike area, where nothing happens, and simply spam your actions till the boss die...

    Or what about the mistress? To make she more different from normal morbols, they could program something like, that at a certain % she starts to put her tentacles in the ground, then a cloud of powder pops under 3-4 or even the whole party! So you have to move asap if you don't want her tentacles impaling you, by entering from your a$$ and exiting from the mouth.. :P

    After all this waiting, i hoped in better, i like them of course (Coincounter "fresher").. But these Bosses (dungeon and trash it self are nice) could be really better with some action moves..

    Even if my english isn't that great, i hope that i gave you the idea of the fights that i want to see in 2.0!

    Ifrit was a good start, but the current engine/servers (action lock/lag ) made it annoying...
    This. They tried to make a dynamic fight but it got marred by the game's faulty server/engine.

    So they decided to stick to basics this time around. I don't blame them either. These 2 new dungeons are basically crowd pleasing content fillers. Nothing wrong with that.

    I doubt we'll see anything truly dynamic until the 2.0 engine is released.

    p.s a friend of mine that played with me (in order) XI, WoW, XIV months ago before ifrit , and now SWTOR, just saw the videos of the bosses.. And the first thing that he said to me on ts was: This looks so slow and boring compared to: "insert any new or even old games"

    So i wasn't the only thinking it (not boring imho btw .. but still slow and static.. )

    What do you think?

    You say about how ifrit was exciting, and about the good old ifrit but then you go on to say about how it was marred with problems with server lag, you answered your own question about why they went back to pre-ifrit.

    SE need to test the 2.0 server client before they use it, the problem isnt only with the physical servers, the server side software will be to blame as well, so the problems with ifrit cannot be solved until 2.0.

    Your thread makes no sense because you state a problem and then state the answer to said problem within a few posts.

    I never said that Ifrit was exciting lol ... I simply stated that it was a good start, but afflicted by the problems that we all know... I'd expected something like him, but better designed to those new fight... Not an huge stepback by making tank&spank boss... Those were good in XI 5,6,7..10 years ago.. But not in 2012. Even batraal (yeah before ifrit) was more dynamic.. at least you had to turn off lamps, and the tank had to move him away...

    The problems with Ifrit arent because its badly designed, its the problems with the servers, and latency.

    Thats why you see people powesliding because on thier screens they are well clear of the eruption, but the server thinks they are ontop of it so they die, then the server realises they had moved, thus making thier body powerslide across the arena, with the current servers they CANNOT add fights like Ifrit or we will have these problems, the only way they can fix it is making the window to move about 10 secs, then come 2.0 the fights will be super easy.
