Starting Out With a New Free Company

Hey guys! Just need some general advice more than anything.

So, me and some buddies came together and started a Free Company. Just wondering -n any tips on how to recruit people and what to do to keep people interested? We had 8 members at one point but people keep coming and going like a revolving door. All help appreciated!

Personally, I prefer to stick with people I incidentally actually interact with. So if, for example, I am able to help someone in Novice Network as a mentor, I check to see if they're in a free company. If not, and they seem nice and everything, I'll often invite them to join my free company.

Perhaps more importantly, I'd look at the free company as an opportunity to have more fun stuff to do with people you want to hang out with anyway, not something that you should be getting people FOR, if that makes sense. =)

Makes sense! Sometimes it just feels like there's not much point if it's just us founding members anyway y'know? But you're right, member count isn't ALL important. It's more just general curiosity of how FCs build themselves up
