When fishing use much baits make our inventory so full. Same chocobo saddlebag.
Reason we have 1-80lvl different baits types for fishs.
Please make they separation. Baits away from inventory/saddlebag
Thanks

My retainers are full of crafting mats. My chocobo carries materia and currency. My Bags are full of..stinky sweaty small clothes.
We Need a Tackle box!
Either a separate tackle box (Use the existing one, and get the baits our of inventory.
Or, better yet, just ONE bait per zone, and when a new expansion comes out, replace all the baits for the old expansion with just one that works anywhere in that, and all previous expansions. (Or just eliminate the need for them entirely.)
Edit: I've pretty much given up on fishing due to this bait bloat.

#Pray4TackleBox
One section of my inventory is just for fish bait, this would be a really good addition.
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
I am mad about the Bollies... they are no solution at all for the current bait system, wich gets more and more bloated with every expansion, because you need different baits to filter out specific fish.
What we need is not a tackle box, wich we will not get anyway, but a real overhaul of the bait system. And I am looking at the spearfish gig heads for that...
We have 3 different gig heads wich don't need any inventory space at all. Why can't we have that system for the fishing rod as well?
Just remove the current system from the game where baits are limited and need inventory space and add like 3 baits for salt water, 3 for fresh water, 2 for clouds and sky and 1 bait for dunes and all the other stuff. These baits will work exactly like the gig heads, take no inventory space and are unlimited.

I guess I am not far enough in the fishing game to know what this is exactly. Are you saying that the fishing poles could essentially have a part swapped to make them viable for specific type of fishing holes? And that this swap would be done from a new window that doesn't involve inventory?I am mad about the Bollies... they are no solution at all for the current bait system, wich gets more and more bloated with every expansion, because you need different baits to filter out specific fish.

Also, they will never add new free inventory space I think, because they make extra money from all the players who pay for additional retainers. However, it would be really cool to have a tackle box that is specific to fishing inventory because... yeah, tackle takes up so much space, and my fisher job is only level 30 or so. Can't imagine the space I'll need when it's up to 70+...
Gameplay wise it would work exactly like the current system. You use the skill "Bait" to open the menu to switch baites, switch the bait, and that's it.I guess I am not far enough in the fishing game to know what this is exactly. Just that the "Bait" skill doesn't use the baits out of your inventory, but has a set collection of baits to choose from wich are always there, are unlimited and take no inventory space. Just like the gig heads for spearfishing already work.
Oh, okay. I haven't unlocked any spear fishing at this point. But that sounds like it would work just fine. Baits would just unlock as you hit the level for said bait. But then that would free up 100+ inventory spots and about 100k people would drop a retainer at $2 per month, and SE would lose so much $$$... Probably never happen unfortunatelyGameplay wise it would work exactly like the current system. You use the skill "Bait" to open the menu to switch baites, switch the bait, and that's it.

Someone in the past made an argument against tackle-boxes. Tackle-boxes is pretty much just like regular inventory/retainer space except it's restricted to bait and lures. SE does not make tackle-boxes because it takes up the same amount of server space per character as it does regular inventory does. The server space would be better used to allow for any item to be stored there, meaning more regular inventory space would be better use of server space than tackle-boxes. Personally I use my chocobo saddlebag as a tackle-box + seeds and fertilizer for gardens.
Also if you are just fishing for current patch plus a select few previous expansion items, how much inventory space do you really need for bait/lures? Do you really need to hang onto those level 10 bloodworm or level 35 sand leeches? Bait that can be easily re-purchasable from a vendor and that is really cheap?
