Please let PS4 parse our dps like pc

As long as they make it so players can opt in or out of joining a parse during content or in-game voice chat because not everyone is comfortable in doing so then I don't see any real reasoning as to why they haven't already added them.

If you think people will have a choice then you are seriously deluded. After all it has already been a long time that hiding your parses in fflogs is seen as something not to do.

That being said i can't believe how not going into raids with my RDM anymore is relieving. No more moments of "s*** s*** s*** i have to waste gcds and mana to rez people again, if someone else is using a parser my dps will look bad even though i am doing a good job saving the run".

And also it might get as a shock for certain people, but some players simply dont care at all about improving their rotation and such, because they are here for the lore, crafting, housing, etc, and not battle content. Giving parsers to everyone, personnal or not, is not gonna be a miracle solution so that everyone get better and tell themselves "oh i see i have to fit 3 Nastrond into this time window instead or 2, how didn't i think of that sooner !". Just saying that because a lot of people seems to think the contrary.

Just putting this out there, most people that parse, if they see someone drastically under performing will look at the skills used. Once they see all the rezing, no one is going to count that against you. It also tells you how many times someone died and lets say both healers go down and you're there on your rdm and your dps dipped, they know it's because you're rezing.

I see examples like this thrown out alot, no one is that dumb. If they are, chances are they can't figure out how to get the parser installed and you can just flame them for being dumb.

All of our dps data is being uploaded and PC players watch their dps like a hawk and upload it. This is fine, I would just like the option to also be able to watch my dps.

I just started doing Eden and ex'es and yep my parse is hot garbage from what some pc players must have logged of my performance.

Please give ps4 players a way to track their dps. Even if it's just our dps that would be fine. I don't care what others are doing really. I'm just trying to improve my own crappy play.

I've passed the stone, sky, sea thing it's not good enough. I practiced on these before I went in to ex. It's not like being in the fights at all because there are no mechanics to dodge.

I know "get a PC". I can't afford one. Yes, I I'm a loser that sucks at life and need to get a job.. this is not an option for me at the moment as I'm a gimp (gimps have a lot of time for mmorpgs)

Moving on. Fflogs is an enormous part of XIV endgame. Accept it and give us the tools to work with it please.

You are aware that SE doesn't support parsers and, in fact, bringing up parsers in the game can get you banned right?

To add to that, if you're the one that ends up rezzing so many times in the raid, chances are a lot of people in that group are not doing so hot either and yes, by all means, flame the donkey that's attempting to parser shame you and the others that might join in on it.

Someone uploaded a run that was, like, my second ever time tanking Ghimlyt? I was in i360 gear. I spent the entire time in Shield Oath, clipped my DoT, and was super nervous. One of the DPS died at the end. The healer died at the end, too, but was raised. The whole run was a mess.

But it's up there.

So, wait... People can upload other peoples' performance stats without their consent? Talk about sketchy...

You don't really need in-game voice chat when PS4 provides their own, and also most players opt to use Discord. You can get the app for this on smartphones so no, PS4 players are not at any disadvantage

My first question to you is are you a PS4 player that plays FFXIV on there because it seems like you are not.

I use the PS4 voice chat system but not everyone else in groups do so as there are PS4/PC players so that is already void.

You are saying use the discord app on your phone but how do I use that and still able to hear the game volume on my ps4 using my headset that is connected to my controller and using the discord at the same time without having to sacrifice quality? As it kinda defeats the purpose of having a really good quality/expensive headset if I can't even use it's mic to talk to the other players on discord and having the headset to hear the game sounds via my PS4 at the same time etc.

If it's so easy to setup please let me know how thanks.

FFXIV is a cross-platform game and having a in-game voice would make the whole setup miles more easier. Having multiple devices to be able to do so isn't ideal especially if you have to reduce the audio quality in having to do so.

No. I got enough crap with the Recount addon during my wow days. In fact, i once got kicked from a Kefka savage raid for low dps when i was obviously doing the best i could and reported the player that kicked me for parsing and harassment. i am 100% against it.

They would need to make their own in-game tool because it is against their ToS. They should make their own tool though because I'll never consider it an option until it isn't against the ToS. As it stands I don't trust the current method of doing this as they are third party and don't respect the privacy of players that don't want to participate.

You say they will look, but not always.
While I can only go by examples of WoW, where it was common place, nearly 1 in 5 groups would do stuff like that.
IDK why, but the moment they start a vote kick, it always went through, so I can only assume the rest of the group just assumes they know what they are talking about.

Here, Ive only encountered it a small handfull of times, but most likely because people keep quiet about it. The few times it was brought up, was in voice chat, where they or myself, could speak up on their behalf AS its happening, so it doesnt get ignored.
(I think voice chat being more common, also helps fix this. When I hear a RDM saying "Ill rez them" to the healers, we all know what they are doing. Then again, pugs may be different, not sure how much pugs use voice chat.)
