Or perhaps different people find different things fun.
A shocking concept, I know.

Yeah, no. Even without enrages you can be sure people would be trying to flaunt their epeens anyway because that's the nature of "competitive" online gaming.Tight enrages are the only reason raids even started to bother parsing
Ah so I will feel free to go in then... You didn't clear coil, a single savage tier, you don't even have all normal tiers cleared. You don't even have all EXs cleared either. It is very telling about your mental state when you self proclaim yourself to be a top tier healer without having experienced top tier content. Maybe you're good at dungeons but without checking your logs, just peeking at your lodestone is enough to know nobody would want you in an EX trial party if they are aware of who you are.
I love how a bunch of you are harassing/name-calling Demetri, using PARSES to attack their FORUM SIGNATURE, In a thread trying to argue that parses won't be used for harassment, is hilarious. Sure, They probably aren't the hot healer they think they are, but MULTIPLE PAGES of derogatory comments, with DIRECT REFERENCE TO THEIR PARSE PERFORMANCE is really, REALLY, REALLY not helping your case.
Walk away. Stop harassing them. You've done your damage to the legal parser movement.
I'd use a legal parser. I rarely/if ever try to do EX/Savage content, I have the odd parse loaded to FFlogs by rando's, I seem to be average/reasonable. But if this is how you all are going to react, I can't support making it legal.
If people really want better access to parses it might be a good idea to not harass people in the discussions about it.
You understand he could just lay-low or just accept he was lying right?I love how a bunch of you are harassing/name-calling Demetri, using PARSES to attack their FORUM SIGNATURE, In a thread trying to argue that parses won't be used for harassment, is hilarious. So far he does the opposite, he's like some kind of forum-masochist getting pleasure by becoming the laughing stock of the forums.
You understand that by dragging this feud into a thread that is debating the availability/use of parsers to the community, to attack someone using said tool under debate, where there's a (horribly small) chance the community team/Development team might possibly see this and have their opinion influenced probably wasn't your best choice?
Their opening post in this thread was about reporting someone talking about parsing in-game in a public space. That is definitely a no-no. If they're popping off in another thread, keep it there. And I HOPE this isn't all over their forum signature...
This entire back and forth wouldn't even be a thing if the person in question hadn't acted like a pretentious braggart. If you dont want to humiliate yourself then dont lie on a public forum when your claims can be easily fact checked.
This entire thing also would have stopped if they had just a sliver of humility and admitted that they were wrong for lying. It's also not harassment by responding to the person on a public forum, especially when they keep responding in a thread going on 19 pages. You don't get to cry foul for "harassment" when you make pretentious claims about being better than 99% of players and people provide evidence that you are lying.
This has nothing to do with "parsing being toxic". This is what happens when people like to play up how good they are by bragging how much better they are than others then they get called out when its proven they are lying about their performance.
Moral of the Story: Dont lie on a public forum when your claims are easily checked.
