Who hurt you?
Why are even in here when you’re clearly a casual and most of the majority that took part in this discussion agreed explicitly that parsing wouldn’t be for anything but high end duties....?! We’ve excluded casuals as to be fair as possible. You’re acting like a salty and callous casual that’s jealous there’s a whole large group of people that enjoy having tools to play this game while doing content you said yourself you don’t. They don’t care for cards, housing, or w/e else you do to pass YOUR time in the game. They care about pushing themselves to be the best they can be. They aren’t parsing to harm a casual, I assure you.
You can stay in your casual content and would never once be bothered by parsing if implemented the way the majority would have it in the client. You can’t be bothered by someone doing content you won’t do.
This is in fact the whole root of the problem. You want ffxiv the way you want it. So does everyone else. There’s nothing wrong with that at all as long as it’s not detrimental to the game as a whole. Thinking parsing would harm the community is about as low IQ as it gets. I say this because it’s been around since the game started and it’s only grown to be the best community in any mmo. All while having parsing there under your nose...
If you don’t like it, ignore it. SE staff actively watch their hardcore members race to world first running parse windows in plain sight. Reporting players for taking part in something you don’t is going out of your way to harm another player’s preferred play style.
Jealous much?
