Please let PS4 parse our dps like pc

As long as it's optional.....I doubt i want to hear half the people I get grouped with.

Ofc it has to be optional you should be able to mute them, especially because FFXIV is cross-platform multiplayer game an in-game voice chat feature should be a high priority.

During fights I don't type on my Keyboard as PS4 player as well as I'm playing using my controller being able to say something to the rest of the group without having to stop your focus on fight to be able to type something would go long way for players like me.

Thing is i doubt it will ever be allowed publicly or added. No doubt it will cause more conflict between players and it will become extra workload for all the GM to review each cases. I strongly believe SE will not invest in this field with little revenues generated in return

I am all for something that lets us view our own DPS. Anything more than that will just open the door to even more abuse and poo slinging than FFlogs does alone.

And yeah, you touched on the main reason why parses, SSS, and FFlogs don't even paint the full picture on why someone's DPS might be a low amount in a fight -- understanding of fight mechanics, especially as a melee, is critical in maintaining good DPS, and a parse won't necessarily measure that. All it does measure is deaths and damage taken, but even if someone doesn't actually die, there will still be a huge difference between someone still learning the fight and losing a lot of uptime trying to handle the mechanics, and something like this.

All of our dps data is being uploaded and PC players watch their dps like a hawk and upload it. This is fine, I would just like the option to also be able to watch my dps.

I just started doing Eden and ex'es and yep my parse is hot garbage from what some pc players must have logged of my performance.

Please give ps4 players a way to track their dps. Even if it's just our dps that would be fine. I don't care what others are doing really. I'm just trying to improve my own crappy play.

I've passed the stone, sky, sea thing it's not good enough. I practiced on these before I went in to ex. It's not like being in the fights at all because there are no mechanics to dodge.

I know "get a PC". I can't afford one. Yes, I I'm a loser that sucks at life and need to get a job.. this is not an option for me at the moment as I'm a gimp (gimps have a lot of time for mmorpgs)

Moving on. Fflogs is an enormous part of XIV endgame. Accept it and give us the tools to work with it please.

Are you only parsing when you’re group leader or are you just joining someone else’s group and deciding yourself to hold others accountable? DPS parses aren’t “accountability” but that mentality is exactly why FFXIV benefits from not having them as a support add on.

So riddle me this. Let's say for arguments sake, that everyone in your savage group is doing all the mechanics perfectly 100%, but your wiping every single attempt because someone in your group's damage is way below the mark to beat the enrage, who is accountable here? Parsers are a two way street, they benefit the game through feeding the player base information on optimal rotations, melds and help the developers by means of a visible display where all the jobs stand in the most difficult content, but they also tell you how your entire raid is performing and if adjustments need to be made. It can help those who are struggling perform better and in worse case scenario ( The one point that has been the focal point of contention between the player base for years) replace those who are under performing and are showing no signs of improvement.

You don't really need in-game voice chat when PS4 provides their own, and also most players opt to use Discord. You can get the app for this on smartphones so no, PS4 players are not at any disadvantage

My first question to you is are you a PS4 player that plays FFXIV on there because it seems like you are not.

I use the PS4 voice chat system but not everyone else in groups do so as there are PS4/PC players so that is already void.

You are saying use the discord app on your phone but how do I use that and still able to hear the game volume on my ps4 using my headset that is connected to my controller and using the discord at the same time without having to sacrifice quality? As it kinda defeats the purpose of having a really good quality/expensive headset if I can't even use it's mic to talk to the other players on discord and having the headset to hear the game sounds via my PS4 at the same time etc.

If it's so easy to setup please let me know how thanks.

FFXIV is a cross-platform game and having a in-game voice would make the whole setup miles more easier. Having multiple devices to be able to do so isn't ideal especially if you have to reduce the audio quality in having to do so.

Yes I am a PS4 player and I have absolutely no issue playing with others or communicating with other people, to each their own. Personally I have the game playing from my TV, and the discord (though my phone) speaking out aloud and that works for me. Possibly you could also purchase a headphone splitter to receive sounds from two sources in to one if that is your concern.

Anyway as I said it's difficult to monitor voice chat in-game, and it's a transfer of data which the servers could probably do without. I don't know of any Pay to Play cross platform MMOs with voice chat...

No. I got enough crap with the Recount addon during my wow days. In fact, i once got kicked from a Kefka savage raid for low dps when i was obviously doing the best i could and reported the player that kicked me for parsing and harassment. i am 100% against it.
