    Main Scenario Duty Roulette Changes

    I'm pretty sure that 99% of people don't enjoy the main scenario.

    Personally I wish that Square Enix would either:

    - Go and edit the cutscenes and cut down on some of the dialogue
    - Speed up the playspeed of the cutscenes
    - Combination of both of the listed above

    What does everyone else think? How can main scenario duty roulette be improved to still be a good exp booster but not consume so much time? Have a wonderful day! Loving Shadowbringers!

    The time spent equals the reward received, any changes to the former means you'll get less from the latter. Players either have the time to run this or they can avoid it, there are other means of obtaining exp though but if anything the rewards could be upped slightly (let it offer GC seals as well maybe...).

    I don't know if I would agree with your statement. In its current format it should reward one full xp bar per run for those forced to suffer through what is currently one of the worst tortures imaginable.

    Well seeing as no one but first timers are "forced" to run the dungeons to progess the story there really is no problem here. Further runs past what is required are purely optional for everyone else, so any "torture" experienced is self inflicted by choice. The exp is already quite generous, the other rewards could be adjusted but that's it.

    Let's review apporximiate clear times:

    Castrum Meridianum - 22-25 minutes [less exp, but quicker clear time]
    The Praetorium - 40-45 [more exp, but takes longer]

    Average 4 man-dungeon run:

    With aoes used: 15-20 minutes
    Without aoes used: 21-30 minutes
    Worst case scenarios: Above 30 minutes (if you're 71 or higher, might as well use trusts since they take nearly as much time, but with less headaches imo)

    At the end of the day, Main Scenario Roulette obviously isn't for everyone, but it's an alternative to use to gain extra exp, tomes, gil, and/or help out random people just for the heck of it.

    I think mostly it could be improved by people not running it if they don't like the expected result.

    Ive learned to just spend cutscene time jiving with the sociable ones i get put in with in DF, the exp is so worth it, heck, mst of the time the conversations are based around the fact the cutscenes take so long, or we just make comments on whats going on (Nael is definitely an XBox player) I played at the start of 2.0 where...at ilevel appropriate, you mightve failed if you did watch the cutscenes, So its very annoying, sure. But getting nearly half a level of exp, is really nice If youre not levelling anything, its actually a loss to do the msq, sadly

    I appreciate the fact that cutscenes are unskippable. New players can enjoy the most important and interesting revelations of the last stretch of the main campaign without losing the feel that they are part of the team beating the game.

    However, I think it proves to be useless when the entire party has already beaten the thing. I would suggest something like this:

    1. Only veteran players in the party: cutscenes are skippable, rewards reduced.
    2. At least one new player in the party: cutscenes are unskippable, rewards maintained as they are today.

    I think it is easier work than completely remaking the dungeons or splitting it in order to reduce cutscenes. It would serve the benefit of allowing new players to enjoy while giving ample rewards to veterans, but also allowing veteran parties to rush it for most of the runs.

    Pretty sure that would lead to people either quitting when they get a sprout, or vote kicking the sprout. We all know it would happen ^^

    For the massive chunk of exp that got me from 79 to 80, I'd say the frustration pays off.
