Lancers Unite!

Maybe Lancers could become "mounted" combatants, with multiple branches of advanced jobs:

Wyvern Knight - Gets a wyvern that can be ridden!
Chocobo Knight - Gets a chocobo that can be ridden.
Cavalier - Gets a horse that can be ridden.

Give bonuses to the party's combat while the * Knight is mounted. Granted this would make them stronger outside of dungeons than in, but this is an idea in progress.

I think there needs to be a "Lancer" LS on every server, and collect everyone that is maining Lancer! I am in IStory!

I love being a Lancer. Traditionally I'm some kind of sword-wielding melee fighter, but I've been trying things like lancing and arching in games and they're just too fun. The role of a lancer is also one of action, and I'm all for that.

I also can't wait for things that make these classes more defined.

Yay..Sexy .YaY...I do enjoy my lancer and I am really excited about the idea of dragoon as a specialty/tree from lancer and maybe Pikesman as stated earlier". There is lack of core gameplay that makes a big handful of our specialy abilities rendered useless...I could be wrong on this but i have not had any luck using conclusion.Ive used it fully buffed wiit high base str ferocityII Raging strike Drain ATT and was last in a full Ws regiment with ATT down on the mob.And Did this 4 times in a row for very good dmg with conclusion on and the tank could still loose hate on the drop of a dime" i want to think this was atleast a decent tank as well". Doing all this. while risking death during an nm because im out of position- with no payoff is ridiculous.Ive also positioned a mage heal bombing a tank while fighting boars at lower rank and used conclusion with big hitting Ws's fully buffed, and not once seen the Mob turn towards the healor..And that one upset me...ARGH was trying trying to PK my buddy)

Hmm. Kinda agree with judge_xero, although i think berserker is more towards marauder side than lancer, but i think all dragoon related advanced job should only be unlocked after we reached rank 50 lancer.

BTW lancer: speed surge II + full thrust = WS producing machine, still wondering how yoshi P going to translate this into auto-attack type battle system. And the evil armor is more akin to dark knight( marauder advance job with thaumaturge(?)), i think we' re gonna get a different armor(dragon armor ftw ;P) and i want to see a wyvern or any other small dragon companion ( hopefully armored too).

I miss my Wyvern companion and my Jump. Hopefully in the near future SE can add them both in some way, shape or form. That's one of the most important reasons in stuck with Dragoon and became a Lancer in FF XIV. I'm positive I'm not the only one.

Totally agreed, I would love to have a jump ability. Also sexy purple armor. Bring us the Dark Dragoon!
