Also to those complaining about accuracy: Put some points in DEX and get a better weapon! I know very well that initially LNC seems to have terrible accuracy, but trust me by rank 35-40 with the right stats you won't be missing nearly as much. Feint is a great skill but don't rely on it completely because doing that will reduce your overall DPS, and that's not something you want to do with lancer!

Try talking to experts of other classes and you'll realize lancer is actually one of the most balanced classes in the game, fairly high accuracy, decent hp pool (although pretty terrible compared to other melee classes) and amazingly high DPS, second only to archer! (which is really the broken class at the moment).

It also gets a fairly decent MP pool too. My Lancer is 10 levels behind my Marauder and has nearly double the mana, it's definately the best class for solo grinding in my opinion.

Indeed I forgot to mention the awesome MP pool, I think it's either equal or very close to Archer which is quite a lot for a melee class.

Maybe Lancers could become "mounted" combatants, with multiple branches of advanced jobs:

Wyvern Knight - Gets a wyvern that can be ridden!
Chocobo Knight - Gets a chocobo that can be ridden.
Cavalier - Gets a horse that can be ridden.

Give bonuses to the party's combat while the * Knight is mounted. Granted this would make them stronger outside of dungeons than in, but this is an idea in progress.

I love my r50 lancer. Twisting Vice is the best WS in the game. I use it on ALL of my classes.

Lancers are the glue that hold the party together. Do you ever notice that when you are a lancer in a party, everyone just lets you take lead. Lancer first to attack. Followed by the Tank. Lancer is the leading class, with party support.

Also as far as advanced classes go. I hope they combine the already existing classes to make the advance classes. R40 Marauder + R40 Lancer ='s Berserker. R40 Lancer + R40 Thaumaturge ='s Dark Dragoon. R40 Gladiator + R40 Conjurer ='s Mystical Night. That way you have to get high enough in the other Classes to Unlock the next class.

Agreed. I miss jumping. I miss my Wyvern too. Although, I haven't had much trouble with my accuracy. Only with a select few leve mobs have I really had a difficult time missing but that was compensated for with Feint. There was a list of classes that were found in the FFXIV files, none of them seemed to be anything like an expansion on Lancer. I would definitely like to see Lancer start leaning more toward a Dragoon type class with the jumping, and if no Wyvern then maybe breath attacks.
