That's half the charm of FFXI/FFXIV. It's nice having people from other cultures playing with you, instead of segregating yourself. I'm with Jynx on this one too, I like playing with gamers from all over the world!![]()
It is not really an issue of where they are at in the world. I checked and I was only a 4 hops more to my server on ffxiv to my personal server in dallas(im in houston).. The issue is the verichecks they do on practically everything in game to prevent cheaters. This is being addressed in 2.0 already. Its practically why 2.0 is being made client/server relations
MAGIC MUSHY ROOMS
Exactly. Being in a MMO that combines everyone in the world is amazing. It makes the in game world seem more realistic in my eyes, with adventurers will all different backgrounds. Instead of adventurers all from America...

That' fine, I don't think anyone is calming to dislike playing with others from around the world, but when it impacts your gameplay or gives a disadvantage of claiming or better chances of winning PvP battles then you have to start weighing the pros and cons.
You may be ok to sacrifice your gameplay for the added benefit of talking to others around the world but personally I'm not.
Of corse I'm not saying I am right and you are wrong, but I think we should be given the choice to play on regional servers if that's what we would prefer.
Ragnarok server was a step in the right direction they just need to it to the next level and offer at least 1 or 2 (depending on population) servers in each region.
I enjoy having the whole world combined servers. most of the people I play with because of my hours are in europe, and the new euro only server has already got me worried.
MAGIC MUSHY ROOMS
Some regional server and some international servers and we all be happy![]()
It's not the server location whatever many of you think if i guess most you played XI did not have these problems.
Well they did in the early days until SE fixed it, FFXIV already has this in place.
That being said open world NM's spawn within 5 mins in this game so its no big deal anyways.
Higher NM's have different conditions but they spawn ever 8 in game hours from what I remember.
Us players like to downplay the issues us EU players have, go look at the Coincounter thread for example, but the fact is that we do have an unfair advantage.
Like I've said before I know an EU player who works in Japan on occasion and he said the difference fighting Ifrit from EU and JP is like night and day.
