Most of this I like, but the movement and hair physics is pretty resource heavy. Maybe PS5 could, with all that extra CPU power it's s'posed to haveA graphic update would be pretty cool, I like the game as is enough that if they were like "this or that" I'd probably pick that but these things don't always have to be false dilemmas. Obviously still costs money though lol, but if it's something they can do then that'd be awesome. Like for example they may have someone have "you need to finish the graphics for the new trial, and when you're done with that work on updating old armor" and the guy gets to put in 4 hours before they get new instructions and so over the course of many years it becomes "I finished updating old armor".
So.. would be cool but I give it low priority. Some random would be nice:
- Texture updates on the more pixel obvious items (like some armors and hairs)
- Model improvments to characters (smoother body parts, our new race models for example appear smoother than our old races)
- Better AA (if possible..)
- 3d Water (most water in game is 2d, SE makes it work and look good but water is still unusually flat in most places lol)
- Foliage physics (GW2 and WoW have it, it's entirely pointless but super cool to notice occasionally haha- would probably help with the car looking proper in high plant areas though)
- Hair/Gear physics (in such a way to also promote avoiding clipping, seems rather difficult and nearly impossible but certainly "would be cool"
)
Something I've been wondering, and definitely way out of my wheel house so it's just "wondering", is if they could use the sort of deep learning AI like FFIX Moguri Mod and the FFVII graphic overhaul used to greatly smooth out the pixels from background images. In this way maybe it becomes more reasonable? Also maybe can sell classic FF7 bundled with FF7 Remake, with the improved graphics :3.
Don't touch me there
