    Is it time for "fashion glam slots"?

    We have umbrellas, sure. But what if we can actively wear certain glamour? How many times have we wanted to wear say, sunglasses with a hat? A mustache or a pipe, or even back accessories like backpacks? I don't mean to suggest that we should degrade the game into a cheap korean freemium game where fashion accessories take away from the game making it look cheap, but more or less the ability to do more with what we have or could have.

    We're "adventurers" but yet we don't have backpacks. You would imagine we'd be able to carry one but we can't.

    I understand that adding clothing options to characters is difficult because each body part is separate and does not operate on a type of cloth physics like a modern game would. However, I'm sure certain, simple items could be added in separate slots.

    We all know glam is the true end-game. Is there a way that we could get this? I'm sure if we do, the devs would figure out how to balance it in such a way that it would look genuine and not cheap like some games do.

    We all have bags of holding. And armory chests of holding. And saddlebags of holding. It's best not to question how inventory works in a video game.

    Joking aside, I'm all for more customization options.

    And if they can't ever find a way to do that, just remove them from the game and split their stats onto other gear pieces. Free up that gear space, ya know?

    They could do so many interesting things with belts and sashes, especially if they split off a lot of the pieces currently attached to either tops or pants.

    Make them not show with certain tops if they have to, they way that sashes currently work, but it would add so much mix-and-match potential.

    For those that don't know, belts in XIV 1.0 were their own display item, unattached from the body piece as they are, often now. You could mix and match belts as easy as you do hand pieces, or whatever else.
    While I won't claim it'll be easy to convert all those belts back, it shouldn't be impossible.

    Now if you wanna go way back to the original Tanaka built version of 1.0, we had four individual ring slots, individual earring slots, you name it!
    There was some limitations in gear slot weight you could use but you could deck yourself out nicely in bling, that's for sure.

    Generally I was always a fan of having generic accessory slots for anything, and allow them to be seen. So if you want to wear 4 rings and 2 belts, or 4 sets of earrings a necklace and a backpack, cool. Let them “hook” into different spots.

    Buuut we are very far along in this games development. I do not expect big changes so much as generic rp things that can be held like a tray of drinks or a hand fan.
