CUL desynth has a dumb problem

so, in stormblood, the general fish desynth was 290. Now they are 390.



considering the highest desynth big fish were 360 (and farming them is a ridiculous notion considering they take days to catch if you're lucky, then explode) AND cul doesn't have any desynthable crafted items, how on earth are we supposed to bridge that gap? Practically nothing exists.


390 is too far a gap, there needs to be options in the 360-380 range as well.

Yeah the gap is a bit extreme. Your best bet is the Usuginu Octopus, it's a relative easy to catch 2 star level 70 fish. I think a fishing retainer can bring them too.

that's an idea, thanks for the suggestion. I'm already over 330 so I'm not sure how far this one will go. The other one I was wondering about was the bonsai fish, but once again its already under my deynth level.

do octopus until you can reach the bare minimum of 5.0 level fish, then tinker's/bacon to help get you over the hump.

Yes, that's exactly what I did, took about 1-2 hours double-hooking the octopodes, got to level 340, then bacon broth + tinkers calm to start on the 390 fish. Then lots of exploding LOL.

On my fisher alt I just bought a bunch of dirt cheap L 390 ShB fish, did bacon broth + tinkers calm and blew a LOT of fish up.

I think she started at 27%.

Did the same thing, but I had a 3% chance when I started in on the 390 fish. I can just imagine what the ground would have looked like if all the sploded fish parts didn't disappear. I think I went through about 300 fish before I had a decent desynth chance with ShB fish and now I can get ARR introduced crystals & fine sand from 3rd expansion content without fail.
