Does anyone know if you can change the music back to the "light" theme from before you kill the area Lightwarden?

Unfortunately, you cannot. I really do hope they'll implement it as a feature though...
I believe thatthere is only one area that actually uses a different theme from it's "day theme" when under the effect of 'Light'

Unfortunately I do not see SE changing that though as its kind of traditional in past FF games where world map music/area themes change after certain aspects of the story are reached (such as FFVI's world map music changing from Terra's Theme to Dark World when it switches from the World of Balance to the World of Ruin, FFVII's world map theme changing from Main Theme of FFVII to The Great Northern Cave once Meteor is summoned, FFIX's World Map music changing from Crossing Those Hills to The Mist's Rebirth in disc 4 etc etc). This is just in keeping with FF tradition.
Hells this is in keeping with FFXIV itself: the city, area zone and zone battle themes changed completely in ARR from 1.0's original themes (and lets not forget Rhalgr's Reach's theme changing for a while in SB after you-know-who showed up with his band of martial thugs and did some 'Garlean redecorating') so this is now more or less standard.

I think that is why they've worked hard on New Game + so we can go back and see the different phases on the areas. They used it a lot in SB, but it really stood out in ShB.
