Dancer on Bard gear huge error?

I think for most people it's due to NIN (and DRG) having their own sets always so with random groups. BRD, MCH, and DNC have to roll against each other for the same gear while NIN and DRG don't have to roll against other jobs for their gear.

Sure, for most people that could be a problem. However, OP is QQ'in about the aesthetics of the gear, not the obtaining of said gear. The way they made obtaining the Eden gear is anyone against anyone anyways because it's token-based. They just want more glamour options IMO, which there are plenty to choose from.

Sure not every aiming set is going to fit Dancer well.

But neither is every scouting set, I really don't see why people think scouting sets fit dancer better than aiming sets in general.

Also dnc has the lowest personal dps because its dancers buff the dps of others. Maybe dnc needs some buffs, maybe not, but the reason it's as low as it is, is because it has utility to buff party/raid damage. The more utility you bring, especially with buffing party damage, the lower personal dps you do to balance. If you want high personal dps you're int he wrong job.

On one hand DNC fits the Scouting aesthetic more.

On the other hand all Ranged Physical DPS (which BRD MCH DNC are) share the "Aiming" set. Though, to be fair, both the Scouting and Aiming set share similar stats, albeit the NIN set boasts higher VIT and Defense due to NIN being in melee range.

This is basically it. And it's why people thought DNC might share/should share Scouting gear. But them using Aiming gear does make more sense in the long run, since their role is shared with BRD a d MCH.

That silly. There is no reason to dismiss the idea of having two pieces of gear with different looks sharing the same stats.

Honestly it is kind of ridiculous that every job doesn't have their own set of raid gear.

Because ff14 is trying to not to copy wow and possibly other mmos. The only job reated gear we get is the gear you get at max lvl. Just take it or leave it

Week 2 of Eden, i have tokens for actual gear this week, my problem? using said tokens for the gear for dancer. Looking at Scouting set I'm convinced SE made a huge error putting dancer on Bard/Mch gear. Not only do we get the insult of being the lowest dps with very little to justify the insult we have to share the ugliest gear sets with the other 2 lowest dps in game. This in no way fits mine or i'm convinced anyone's image of what a dancer is, or how one dresses. It makes me wonder if Yoshi was doing lots of crack when he approved this mistake, that is the only logical explanation. I feel SE needs to actually come out and say either "we fucked up here's the real dancer stat build, and we're removing dnc from bard gear next week." or "Haha you losers dance in uggo gear, and be lowest dps till you are barred from all raid content for daring to enjoy new jobs *spit*." Either way this snub to a whole group of players is uncalled for. I intend to continue to raise hell about it until hell is raised too. Angry, frustrated and hating SE in an expansion that gave me the one job I wanted since ARR 2.0. Fix it Fix it now!
