    Disconnects in duties

Since release of Shadowbriners i get disconnects when i run any dungeons or trials. I dont know what it depends on. I could get a few disconnects or when sometimes im lucky i could get none. But i never get any in open world no matter in combat or not. I really hoped its gonna change with Eden update but no such luck... I love this game a lot but im on the verge of quiting. The worst part not even my own experience but that im screwing other people over by disconnecting from ex trials or healing/tanking in dungeons. So it makes me feel guilty when its not my fault but the game one. I forgot to mention that i dont have any problems like that in any other games so my connection is stable.

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums. I apologize for the delay in our response.

Do you recall anything changing/updating on your PC or home network that coincides with this?

What have you tried so far to alleviate this issue?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

The only update for my pc in the last months ive had it was a new gpu. I dont know tho if this coincides with this happening cause my old gpu burnt before ive had to change it so i wasnt playing the game for a while. However like i said i didnt notice any problems in any other games and in general final fantasy works fine as well as long as im not in any instance so i have no idea was causes this problem. I tried to reinstall the game and it didnt help. I dont really know what else to do cause i never faced any problems like this in any game prior to this.

Thank you for the reply Emerald_Dragon. I apologize for the delay in our response.

If you are disconnecting from the game, then you may want to try the following troubleshooting:

    1) If you have a wireless connection, try connecting to your PC directing to your router using and Ethernet cable.

    2) Make sure that any anti-virus software you have has the appropriate exceptions for Final Fantasy XIV.

    3) Check the following Port Ranges on your router/modem to ensure that they have been opened:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040
Your ISP can open these ports for you.

    4) The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
