Need Red Mage help

I cannot get Fire and Stone to proc.
I use jolt and alternate thunder and aero (not logged in game cannot remember exact name of spells) .. get the white/black balanced & maxed then use the melee spells all the while watching for the proc.. never happens.

I read to let the white or black be a tiny bit ahead for the proc so I also tried that. Did not work.

I am almost level 51

Accelerate will force a proc, but beyond that it's pure RNG. Veraero and Verthunder have a 50% chance to proc Verstone and Verfire, respectively. It kinda sucks, but that's the hand a RDM must play.

i use accelerate and it does nothing

Can you send me a clip of it not working? If Accelerate is not working, it sounds like a bug.

The melee combo doesn´t proc fire and stone. The finisher does (which you get much later than 51).

Just to make sure: You have fire and stone on your hotbar?
And are you using veraero and verthunder oder maybe veraero II and verthunder II, because the last 2 are for your aoe combo.

logged in to check and yes I was using veraeroII and thunderII and yes fire and stone are on my bar.. i check them constantly for a prob but it never happens even when i use accelerator

i also checked them after the melee because I had read online that is when it procs, but it didn't then and hasn't at any time

So you are saying i use aero and thunder I to make it proc? and so when do i use II??
(confused lol)

ahh that was the problem! only I triggers it.. just tested on dummies
so I guess i use II when I need AOE

I see the problem now.

Veraero 2 and Verthunder 2 are AoE skills; they can't proc Verstone and Verfire. Only Veraero and Verthunder 1 can. (credit to Laphael for saying it first, I'm just reclarifying).

Jolt into Veraero or Verthunder, ignore Aero and Thunder 2 unless you're attacking multiple targets.
