Thread: [lore] Job NPCs know WoL's identity? (5.0 edition)

So by now in 5.0, I have been curious as the Job storyline continues....

How many of the Job NPCs even know WoL is the Warrior of Light people speak about?

Current I only am aware that Y'mhitra Rhul (SMN Job NPC) knows since she is Y'shtola's sister and her involvement in MSQ most likely made certain that WoL is the Warrior of Light due to stories about the Warrior of Light being with the Scions.

The other two are Radovan and Sophie (Gunbreaker Job NPCS) as they learn that WoL is the Warrior of Light in the lvl 70 quest which leads to the lore reason why they stop asking WoL to help them with the Bodyguard Jobs since they know he or she has better things to do after learning WoL's identity.

The other Job NPCs all appear to be unaware of WoL being the Warrior of light and still continue to treat him or her as just a normal Adventurer.

On that note...

It would be interesting to see how they all react once they learn WoL's Identity in hopefully future Role Quests where they are all gathered together for Role Quest story reasons in maybe 6.0.

Pretty sure everyone involved in the DRG storyline is aware. Same for the RDM since they are at least aware you were instrumental to freeing Ala Mhigo.

Sound more like a Black Magic thing though.

The magic learned by Thaumaturgy and Black Mage does heavily involve magic that takes from the Void sometimes. Though of course the part of the magic involving the summoning of Voidsent are forbidden.

DRK seems pretty aware and flabbergasted far as I saw.

I think only Nashmeira know due to being old friends with that certain someone but Ranaa still remains a bit ignorant of the details since many adventurers took part in the battle of Ala Mhigo thus she only thinks WoL is only among the brave Adventurers who took part in the Battles.

Quite certain the later Paladin quests mentions you being the WoL a few times, and I'm fairly certain the Machinists would know as well, considering how nosy Stephanivian is when it comes to his fellow Machinists, not to mention the literal plot device he carries around with him all the time (the Prospectometer!)

Really, just about everyone in Eorzea should know by now. Randoms might not recognise you at first and order you around and such, but those NPCs tend to suddenly come to the realisation that "THAL'S BALLS! I just got the sodding WARRIOR OF LIGHT to do some tedious trivial errand!" by the time you come back to turn the quest in. I can't imagine that any of the trainers who you work with on a regular basis are so ignorant that they don't know who you are by *at least* level 70, surely.

I think they only realize it once they put the pieces together. They know about the Warrior of Light but do not know WoL is the Warrior of Light more due to the different stories being told about him or her and soem stories may even exaggerate the WoL's appearance.
