About the only way is to turn down background music. I just noticed yesterday, what sounded like the awful screaming of an opera singer mixed in with the music. Fortunately, it was low enough that it didn't bother me too much.

Rak'tika reminds me of the Nier soundtrack, which I loved, so of course I loved the great wood soundtrack.
You can turn off the music background in the character or system settings. Problem solved.
I love the music from the greatwood as well as all the music from ShB!
I admit the music there did seem to a bad choice for some of the scenes. Just got through what is suppose to be a big moment and fade back to control...."La-Hee!"

I love all the tracks too. Most of the people do. And just because a minority thinks its not good or the "vocals" are annoying and should be seperated from the music, won't have any effect on further progression in this game.
People don't seem to have real issues anymore.

Absolutely not. The vocals are a big part of setting tone. Imagine no vocals for the final fight. It doesn't carry the same weight. All pieces are needed to bring together the emotions we feel in those situations.
Okay I love the music in Greatwood, with a little to complain. I don't know why the composer doesn't align the female vocal with the rhythm of instruments.. Every time I hear the starting of this piece of music I feel a bit uncomfortable, as if the vocal is attached to the accompaniment according to its time length.
I just find it strange that anyone can hate the music in Rak'tika, the music along with the vocals I thought was fantastic and made me enjoy every last bit in that zone.
