Then, to be completely honest, there's nothing to be discussed. Everything from here on then until you get more information from your friend is going to be pure speculation, with perhaps the exception that your friend did something that warranted it.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
Month-long ban?
I thought the first ban was like 48 hours or 4 days or something. Either what he did warranted a month ban or it isn't his first time receiving one.
But this is all speculation and I actually have no idea what the times are or what they mean because I have never been banned, or summoned by a GM, before.
Level 80: SAM | SCH | PLD | DNC
Leveling: AST | WAR | MCH
If it's a month long ban, that dude must've done something really bad beyond what you think he did.
Somethings not adding up. Usually these things get extended depending on how many times he was warned/banned.
So it was a repeated offense.
Oh well. No sympathy for people who want to act up to others. He can use this time to better himself I guess lol.

i doubt it was an "instant" ban. when he was removed from the dungeon it was more than likely he was sent to goal and spoke to a GM before he got his temp ban since he was online. the only cases i heard of people being banned without talking to a gm is when they have log proof of harassment and they weren't online when they were doing the investigation (and even then sometimes they wait until they do log in).
Having a month ban is a long time, I heard it starts off shorter than that like 24/48hrs and then gradually increases for each offense (unless that's incorrect?). Must have been something quite serious though...

That's what I thought to.. im mean a month is ridiculous. But then again there maybe more information that im not aware and that the harassment had been going on for awhile...just seems extreme to me

The point is about speculation - how can you determine balance in banning then? SE baffles me at times with there ToS enforcement or lack there of ...
I'll find out more later on.
If your FC leader gives you the actual truth, then maybe you'll get a good idea of how it is determined with the level of harassment he was engaging in.

it's 9 days max isn't it? aside from RMT bans that is lol. i could be wrong, though.
edit: i looked it up, seems they changed the way temp bans are now.
(source: https://support.na.square-enix.com/f...la=1&kid=68098)◆Temporary Service Account Suspension
"Temporary Service Account Suspension" is a penalty applied when a serious violation is confirmed. When a Temporary Service Account Suspension penalty is applied, the user will not be able to play Final Fantasy XIV during the applicable suspension period.
There are three types of Temporary Service Account Suspension: 3 Days, 10 Days and 20 Days. The duration of the suspension period is determined according to the severity of the violation, combined with the player’s record of past violations. Even if a Caution or Warning was not applied in respect of past behaviour, a temporary suspension may be imposed depending on the nature of the violation.
so in order to go ahead and give him a full 20 day temp ban then they had more than enough proof I'd assume.

If he got a month ban then this isn't the first time he was banned.
