    WAR - Raw Intuition vs. Nascent Flash

    Hey all,
    First time posting on here and I'm wondering about WAR defensively. I've been a huge fan of it all along (tank main, however casual player ), and WANT to continue being a fan, but it's defensive toolkit seems lackluster compared to the other tanks (or maybe its just me..??). My question is, since the abovementioned skills share a timer its basically one or the other, am I correct in assuming that vs Boss targets its best to use raw intuition and for large packs im best off using flash?? Thanks in advance.

    Yea, they share CD. Both skills are nice and have their use depending on situation.

    WAR feels a lot better once you get Nascent, for sure. Best use is self healing for large dungeon pulls, but the return heals can be nice if it lines up with burst on single target as well.

    You could probably come up with different scenarios where one is better than the other, but in general you got the gist of it.

    Nascent Flash has some situational uses on single targets. If you need added mitigation Raw intuition is the way to go, but if you are heading into Inner Release or Double Inner Chaos and need hp Nascent Flash is a powerful self heal. At ilvl 446 I am able to time my Nascent Flash to capture 3 GCDs and restoring about 40k hp to myself. Just something nifty to keep in my back pocket.

    You got the gist of it. Nascent for aoe. Nascent for single target heals if you have some big cleaves coming up. Nascentfor tabk buster IF you will survive it without the 20% AND you have some meaty cleaves to heal up. (And obviously assist your MT with 10%mit and a little heals)

    Tabk buster you need more mitigation for? Raw int. Not sure if you will live? Raw int. Dont have any big damage to heal off of with nascent? Raw int.

    Tldr: monster isnt threatening? (Dungeon trash, overgeared content) Heal with nascent. Monster is scary and risks 1 shotting you? Mitigate

    Thrill of Battle = +20% Healing + 20% Hp, Synergize Ridiculously well with SCH's.

    Vengeance = 30% DR + Counter attack

    Shake it Off = Potentially the best raid-wide mitigation. Passage of Arms is nice but not being able to attack gets annoying during its the duration and the auto-cancel effect is stupid; But then again, that would probably be broken if it didnt.

    Raw Intuition: essentially PLD's Shelton every 25secs

    or Nascent Flash = arguably Better than PLD Clemency when paired with Inner Release or Nascent Chaos. I say this because PLD has to stop DPSing to use Clemency and if healers heal you with ease then that's wasted GCD's. Clemency is superior for saving allies of course.

    Holmgang: Shortest CD oh-shit button.

    250 potency heal every 7ish secs via Strom path

    Let's not forget: Rampart, Arm's Length, Reprisal, and Low-blow which will all reduce the damage your taking.

    Warrior is decked out on mitigation.



    To anwser your question:

    Nascent Flash for: group pulls or when your offtanking
    Raw Intuition for: Main tanking or Single Target Situations.

    That's just my preference.
