So what are the UI tricks needed to get Sight Seeing achievement at CWH 29.9, 23.7

It's up in the air, over the the bridge.

But I can't find a spot to land, and since I can't find a spot to land, I can't get the achievement.

I've played more games than this one where devs think that their bad UI (which includes controls), which in my book, also includes poor graphics that prevent you from seeing what you need to see to complete a game objective.

i.e., I can see what I need to do. I can get right on top of it by flying (although the overhead view is obscured by objects directly above it). But unless I can land, I can't get the achievement.

I'm sure that there must be a tiny spot where I should be able to land, but I can't see it, and have tried landing everywhere nearby.

I'm so tired of devs thinking that their UI failures are a fun challenge for players.

Just run up the chain and drop down to the hanging part. Try to center yourself on the chain going up or you might slide off just before the goal.

Whenever you can't land directly on it, they expect you to do it on foot. There's even one later where your mount will pass through the platform, and the platform is only solid if you're on foot.

I also found both putting myself into walk and not run, and trying different mounts helped a lot as well (the larger mounts seem to have a smaller region for collision detection under them meaning it was difficult to position yourself exactly to land - as I recall when I found that vista I had a lot of trouble specifically using the magitek armour for that and in the end went with my legacy chocobo and landed fairly easily). A similar method was needed for the vista that was up the top of a large lance in the middle of an old battlefield in the Granite Mountains north of there.

And as they say, "You ain't seen nothing yet." Wait til you get to Kugane and the vista on top of the lamp post, or the big daddy of them all: the one right up high on top of Kugane Castle. Then you will know frustration. (Hint: I still haven't got either yet even after two years since SB was launched. ).
