Primal Mount Suggestion

Something I thought of though after the fact was that, having people that actually know the fight is pretty darn useful but very few people that clear the fight want to go and help those that haven't. Right now with nothing else to do really, it's not hard getting a group together for clear parties but down the road with more stuff to occupy people, getting a clear group will be hard.

While I do agree that it is difficult to get people to help with clears, I found a better approach is to just be that person. I'll usually word the party finder like "Clear for 1 / learn if you want / help if you want" and I got a surprising amount of people willing to help and every party ended the lockout with a clear.

Since launch, I think I've led and helped at least 5-6 FC members and friends get their Titania/Innocence clears, as well as their equipment and weapons. Helping them out was motivating enough to not even consider it a grind. Cut to 2 days ago, I'm sitting on 50 Titania totems and I happened to roll an 86 on the mount and succeed. As rewarding as it felt, the fact I got someone who never did current extremes to try Titania on a saturday and get their weapon the next day was a reward in and of itself.

People would probably just abuse this with there raid alts more than have a better incentive to help

Raid alt? Is that many people has multiple level 80 characters (or the money to buy that many jump potions)?

Also, they would either get their mounts on their alt or generously give it to another that has the same patience and generosity. Now factor in you still have 1/8 chance to get it, you'd need 8 players with 8 raid alts in a single party....

The problem with helping someone to clear it is 90% of the time those that need help aren't able to pull their weight around the dps check at best and can't grasp easy part of the fight at worst. You can put how many sweet loot as you want if people aren't good enough to kill it you won't get any loot.

I'm not saying everybody sucks but, a whole day in "kill for a friends, kill party then farm, kill party know the fight"that can't even pass those adds makes me thinks twice before trying to help.

Yep, this is the main problem actually, specially with fights like Titania EX were a single error might cost you the whole fight. Later on when we get more ilvl I wouldn't see an issue with this, but right now everyone in the party needs to pull their weight in the fight or it's a wipe.

Still I would really like if they made the mount drop % a bit higher, since the drop rate seems really low atm. Been farming Titania EX since this weekend non stop and haven't seen a single mount drop.

This happens literally all the time though. You join a farm party and the newest, most garbage player who cleared it once by getting carried, who then spawns an add and tanks the floor for most of the fight, wins the mount.

People would abuse the 100% drop by taking just 1 person at a time though for a first time clear.

"Selling primal EX first time clears. You get the mount! PST for prices!"

Maybe SE can add a few bonus tokens for clearing it with a new person, also perhaps when the mount drops everyone who didn't win the mount gets a few extra tokens.

I keep thinking SE might be able to use HQ for stuff, perhaps if the mount drops everyone who didn't win it gets one HQ token. If you want you can downgrade it into a normal token right there in your inventory, but if you go to the store it's like 1HQ = 3NQ and 8HQ = 1 pony.

its because an mmo never ends is why things like rare mount drops remain rare. you have no limit on the time you play the game. because it never ends there is no need to make it easier to get (until the drop rates increase later on in the patch series).
