Holmgang is fine as an emergency cooldown and I never saw a WAR using it as a planned CD for big pulls (contrary to DRKs with Living Dead). It makes a huge difference if I just need to keep the tank alive or have to heal 120k+ in 10 seconds.Same can be said for Holmgang. Failure to heal fast enough after triggering the 1hp safety threshold results in a dead Warrior.
Ironically, Living Dead is arguably easier to prepare a response to than Holmgang. I might be alone in this but since I have the Tank as my target nearly always, I can see the Living Dead icon when it pops up and when it flips into Walking Dead.

You have no obligation to bring the warrior back up to full though, just give him enough padding, which can usually be accomplished with a couple of skills (and never mind having all the time in the world to do so). The same can't be said with LD.Same can be said for Holmgang. Failure to heal fast enough after triggering the 1hp safety threshold results in a dead Warrior.

Also, there's the case of using it against multiple busters, like titania fae light or tethers where you can't actually heal the DRK right away. It's always a tight fit (even if you do some of the healing upfront) and it'll require a lot of resources. Often times just sharing + cooldown is less of pain to handle as a healer. Kind of sad really seeing as none of the other invulns suffer from this.

I had a DRK use do all six tethers on Titania Extreme by themself. They used cooldowns for the first 4 and went Zombie on the fifth. Living Dead is incredible when you look at what it's capable of but healing throught it without a WHM is a nightmare. I hate seeing it on my Scholar especially in dungeons. You blow every tool you have and still have to rez them and then have no tools to heal with while they have weakness.
Buff LD to 15-20 seconds plz.
if walking dead was triggered in a dungeon then that is an emergency lmao. walking dead being proc'd means you've already let me die, what other emergency are you waiting for?
something like the HP bar turning purple and healing adding white/default color till it's back to normal (like a negative-shield sort of feeling).Do you know what would be even better? If the devs simply created an UI element on the party HP bars to show when Living Dead was active and how much remaining healing is required to cleanse the effect. It would be significantly more useful than half of the things that they decide to make UI gauges for.
Living Dead requires a rework though. It's probably the single worst designed ability in the game. Even the English tooltips are wrong.
it'd also be a great visual indicator for healing-dooms, like in TG cid and so on.
Presumably you should just let them die so you have the resources to fix them up when they revive.I had a DRK use do all six tethers on Titania Extreme by themself.
