    I think I miss TP

This is probably an unpopular opinion because who doesn't like spam slash-and-hacking? But... I'm finding dungeons kind of boring. At first I was like "oooo, this must be why they removed TP so we can just slaughter all the things to our maximum capacity. >:3 " Right now I'm just finding it as a mindless aoe spam fest. All I'm doing - for the most part - is spamming two skills with the occasional support or DPS CD whenever they pop up. I think part of the fun of dungeoning was manageing TP and bouncing from aos to single targets while TP replenished. Also liked being able to support others with songs to regen TP and MP.

I won't be coming back to FFXIV's forums. The forum vibe is way too venomous and brings out the worst in me. I don't like who I am on the forums, so it's best to distance myself.

I don't miss it. It was pretty lame to run dry on tp and watch your caster friends still blowing mobs away.

Yeah, I can understand that. BLM really didn't have a limiter in the sense that most other classes did. But... RDM, SMN, etc. still use MP. Granted, I think physical DPS were lacking in the TP self-regen department that casters had, which could've been an easier solution than to remove TP entirely.

As a Ninja, I keep finding myself looking for other party members that need Goad. Hard habit to quit.

Dunno about you, but in ShB, my DPS aoe rotation as a monk was 3 skills till I ran out of TP. That was it. Maybe do my chakra skill once it hits 5 stacks or pop an ogcd cd, but it was a spam fest with the fun limitation of running out of TP eventually.

Dungeons dont feel all that different regarding trash monsters, sure. But atleast I dont have the TP problem anymore. So its an improvement in my eyes.

If they want to make dungeons interesting, then they need to change how trash mobs operate. Give them auras that require CC (like using repose to actually sleep monsters, but change it so unless you deal more than a % of the monsters health while slept it wont wake, rather than any damage.) or monsters that get stronger the more allied monsters are nearby. Monsters that have an enrage that requires you to single target focus them down first before swapping into aoe rotations. A single target monster that rapidly spawns tons of minions (although each minion is weak) so you use aoe to burn otu minions then go to single target, then swap back to burning minions. Etc. Getting more clever with trash monster design would be the fix. Because as long as you can round up a ton of monsters and burn em down, the go-to strategy will be to do just that. You have to introduce deterrents where rounding them up in such a fashion = death.

There was a thread about this the other day (not to say "how dare you make another topic about it", but just if you wanna glance at other discussion about it), http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ith-TP-removal

but yeah, I'm a little bummed about it. I originally assumed that TP skills would just be converted to using MP for most classes (and the few classes that actually used both adjusted accordingly), but rip.

Trash packs were always an AoE spam fest. The only difference now is that we can keep going instead of getting halfway through and hoping someone has Goad/Tactician available and is paying attention enough to use it.

They kinda did this in the lvl 80 story dungeon with tethering mobs, but unfortunately they just don't have high enough effects to matter much. One reduces healers healing output, the other murders dps. Just not strong enough.

You make something less boring by making it interesting, not by adding limitation or making something a chore to do.
