Armoury Bonus for classes below level 70 feels too low

A maximum bonus of 100% and daily Roulettes still being scaled to level makes leveling "legacy" classes feel painfully slow. With Shadowbringers changes, I'm finally interested in leveling my White Mage (left freshly unlocked at level 30), but thinking about how long it will take dissuades me from doing so. I think it's weird that, for example, a player with a level 80 Paladin could level Gunbreaker in a fraction of the time it would take for them to level Warrior from scratch.

The Active Help entry for the Armoury Bonus even states "This bonus grows larger the greater the discrepancy between your current level and the level of your highest class", which is just completely false. I would like to see the implementation change to match this description, or at least have increased scaling for each level range (ex. 1-50 200%, 51-60 150%, 61-70 100%, 71-80 50%).

As is, leveling the 2.0 classes is a painful slog that can only be alleviated by purchasing level skip potions on the MogStation, which I would like to avoid if only because I want to experience the job quests (and for other obvious reasons).

Are you doing weekly challenges? Roulettes? Taking advantage of Beast tribe quests? PoTD? HoH?

That is definitely not true. Especially since you're attempting to level a WHM.

1 - 10: Hunt Log with job quests in between.
    10 - 15: Above + Guildhests + Guildhest roulette.
    15 - 41: Above + Leveling roulette + Palace of the Dead.
    41 - 50: Above + Beast tribes.

From 50 and onwards the idea is generally the same minus Guildhests and Hung Logs, but you'll replace those with Level 50, Trials and Alliance roulette.

That is completely ignoring the fact you can just dungeon spam since you'll be a healer, or any fates, etc.
If you have any outfits or equipment that gives you bonus experience up to a certain point + FC/squadron buff + food + EXP earring you can level up pretty fast.

To put into perspective a lot of the extras I mentioned weren't a thing on Heavensward launch, the dungeons did not felt as fast as now and the mobs health weren't adjusted at all. Started both DRK and AST at 30 but without instant queues since everybody wanted to try them at the time, and still managed to go from 30 to 50 in just a couple of hours to experience the main story as an AST. It only feels slow if you don't allow yourself to take some breaks and decide to dungeon spam for 8+ hours straight till cap.

Leveling BLU a couple months back sorely reminded me of how lacking the open world grind tends to be when you don't have quests to sustain the leveling process. More generally, I've long since been of the mind that FATEs are under-rewarding and that the nerf they got forever ago (to encourage dungeon running) was pretty heavy-handed and arguably unnecessary. Compound this with lower/mid-level areas largely being ghost towns and such just lengthens the process that much more when dealing with jobs who don't have the benefit of BLU's significant EXP/kill boost.

Something like PotD isn't really feasible for the soloist, where my own prior attempts were met with failure with some rather unlucky "aggro all the mobs on the floor" traps prematurely ending the run. Can't really say I tend to see it pop in PF when I peek from time to time, either. It may have been a viable option back in the day, but it just seems like something that's past its prime unless another set of floors gets added. And even then that benefit for the leveling game would be questionable. Otherwise, weekly challenges are just sort of nice bonuses, but by no means a primary leveling method. DPS queues for roulettes are highly likely to be 3-5x longer than tanks or healers, leaving anywhere from 15-30m of people just kind of having to pick their butts until the queue pops with no guarantee the group won't be inept.

In the end, I don't think it's incorrect to question the leveling pace of secondary or later jobs and it's been a problem that's existed since ARR, but people are obviously going to disagree in either how to improve the process or feel that they should be somehow compensated for prior work if tweaks are made. As a starting point, I'd probably increase basic kill and FATE EXP by 50%, perhaps even extending the chaining mechanic to include mobs up to 3 levels below the player since there's never really a guarantee of good concentrations of at-or-above-level mobs.

I'm in the minority, but as someone who dreads the idea of doing instanced group content over and over and over and over, having one of the more profitable xp gains behind roulettes is a double-edged sword. On the one hand doing dungeons more than I have to is still a huge hurdle to overcome for me, BUT on the other hand, I geniunely understand and applaude the idea behind it so that (low level) instances have always people running them.

How does Palace of the Dead work anyway? I've heard it's repetition in its truest form, mostly/only feasible when running it in group and starts to get valid after you have the necessary PotD-gear level in order to do the higher floors or so.

It is and.. it is. But, matchmaking takes care of the party just fine and the only the lowest floors tend to be used for the leveling spam anyways. It's very exp-per-minute efficient.

With armory bonus (100%), food bonus (3%), free company bonus (10%) and aetheryte earring (30%). That's 143% bonus exp for every mob. You level up every 2 dungeon runs. You can easily take a job from 60 to 70 in a day from dungeon runs. Main Story Roulette also gives like 60% of a level that you can do every 24 hours.

I've just been doing a single leveling roulette a day while doing the ShB story, and I'm a sneeze away from 80 while still doing level 75 quests, and that's without bonuses except for food (which is only 3% so it's basically nothing anyway). How does anyone have trouble leveling up from 70 and under.

61-70 is about 29 HoH runs as well with the armory bonus now if you dont want to do dungeons which is easily done within a day,i did it for RDM and DNC and it took me 1 day and a half for both
