Being eligible for hunts fromt he boards of the OIC

How exactly does one become eligible to do the hunts (basically daily/weekly wanted posters) in this game? I see them in Ul'dah and the other cities next to the GC people and when I click on the boards it says that I can't do them. My WHM is 50 and second lieutenant with Immortal Flame already.

Also how does one do these Grand Hunt things I've heard so much about? Are the locked behind an expansion/MSL quest?

Think you need to have done the quest 'Let the Hunt Begin' which is located somewhere near the GC vendors usually. Its a level 50 quest.

Had to edit my follow up post to this after reading the link you provided. Is that for those Grand Hunt things people talk about where they get tons of gear/items/seals/etc or just the hunt from the boards?

Ah sorry that the link earlier was for the daily/weekly hunt board. The Flame Quartermaster is the NPC that has all the items that you can purchase for company seals.

The OIC Quartermaster is used to purchase company actions for a Free Company. Unless you are one of the leaders of a FC you probably need the NPC on the right side.

I've recently made a new main character - and iirc when I reached level 50 I still couldn't do hunts straight away. The quest didn't become available to me until I'd completed a certain quest in the MSQ. I'm not sure if you have to complete MSQ Praetorium to unlock the quest, I just can't remember which quest it was that I needed to complete. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
