Why do tanks have so many skills?

Am I legitimately supposed to keybind every one of these skills? Why are the combo skills not combined like Thancred's? I have ran out of space and I am afraid to run GNB because I can't use its full potential... Am I missing something? This just makes me wanna run back to my WHM and be unable to help my friends who need tanks...

Do you just have one hot bar? You can have up to like 10, I think. Maybe get another one.

Now I don't know what you have on your hotbars but I'll tell you this; I am on PS4, I use a controller and main warrior and have ever since Heavensward. Ever since then I've seen the skills on my job's hotbar be reduced for every expansion and now I have barely 2 hotbars that I use. It's so awkward seeing empty slots so I just put the same skills in twice to fill slots.
Don't tell me we have "so many skills". No, we have "so few skills".

So please, don't make SE remove even more slots. I already button mash one button too many times, don't make me do that for my normal combos aswell.

Remember, I speak with warrior in mind and warrior only, as that is what I know best.

I know. I was like? WTF? as a Dark Knight I have 3 buttons I am pushing all the time. With everything else. I am pushing like once every 30 seconds or not pushing at all. Honestly tanks are so dumbed down to the point. I am finding them to becoming boring.

If you can't fit all of your damage skills and damage-related cooldowns onto the 16 buttons of the default controller crossbar, I think you have too many skills. GNB has two extra (I've had to put bloodfest and burst strike onto crossbar 2). However, DRK fits all of them easily, and can even fit all job skills + role skills + 2-3 extra buttons onto just two crossbars. Only MCH and I think SMN have less crowded hotbars.

Tbh, I know what OP is talking about. I mained DRK/WAR and I had a few bits of room with 3 bars. Gunbreaker which I'm assuming he's playing took me by surprise taking up every single hotbar I had... all 3 of em anyways. I still managed tho. Just have to be flexible and adjust what hotbars you have and what hotkeys you can bind.

I feel like we get brainded changes when people make 20 threads with no opposition or strong counter argument. We know that translators move information up, but how much is still unknown.

I just put stance skills on expanded cross hotbar and macro skills that require a specific target also on expanded cross hotbar for off tanking, and I also use gamepad with double cross hotbar and I have my skills arranged to when I get them by level, but I always make sure that Sprint and Limit Break are on my hotbar, so if I have room for more abilities on my hotbar before I get to Sprint and Limit Break, we have too few abilities...


Except GNB, GNB has just the right amount of abilities for my WXHB.
