I'm sorry... RDM and Musketeer for me!
Been wanting Musketeer since they teased me with that gun during alpha and GLA was my main class to start with so I could make a class similar to RDM xD

BLU has never ever been a pet class. Period. BLU is the class that learn spells by observing monsters, defeating them and (at least in FFxi) devouring their souls and their weapons has always been swords, never whips. You're thinking of Beastmaster (BST)

Also, are you playing through them in order? Because FF1 is sort of meh (it's alright I guess but nothing amazing) and FF2 is... well FF2 is just terrible.

I agree, I suggest skipping to 4 that was probably the first amazing ff no offense to 1 but its archaic. So just move to 4. and final fintasy 5 is going to give you a great treat as its structure is all about jobs. 5 is one of my favourites and I replay it often just for combination of jobs. Also you can try to make runs with only certain jobs making it harder. best replay value of an early final fantasy. after 5 go to 6 love it, then go replay 5 a few more times... then go to 9 [=
