If you're not spawning the hunt, then you shouldn't complain about missing it. Simple as that.

It can happen and I'm not denying that. But the chances of that happening are very low. Why? Because if I can teleport to ARR zones after it was relayed on LS, travel all the way to the hunt and still make it, then someone who is already in that zone has even a lesser chance of missing it now with the zone wide announcement about the hunt.
The majority of the complaints you'll see here are from those who aren't spawning it and think they're entitled to the hunt. I don't spawn S ranks, nor do I early pull. But if I missed a hunt, then I'm not going to complain, since I didn't put any effort in it. Those that did put the effort into hunts, already have the new ShB Triceratops mount in a span of a month from release.
I dont think he was talking of that. But of when you spawn a weak hunt yourself, and that the short time you find where it is on the map the mob has already been silently killed by people using hunt add-on radars to quickly steal hunts from the spawners. Without waiting for anyone nor making ls or shout calls for it.It can happen and I'm not denying that. But the chances of that happening are very low. Why? Again, the chances of that scenario actually happening is low. ARR S ranks have been called for on Cactuar and killed by the players on a regular basis. And if a case like that happen frequently, we would hear about it a lot. And KageTokage can shed more light if this actually happens on Cactuar, since they're among the ones who actively spawns S ranks regularly.I dont think he was talking of that. I'll exit stage right lol
The problem with the idea of waiting is that there's always someone that's gonna be late. We can say "hunts should be immunte for the first 2 minutes", but on practice we could wait 20 seconds or an hour, there's always gonna be someone that couldn't arrive in time. Even calling out the hunt exists is something people do just out of cortesy, since most parties can just kill anything in sight without saying a word anyways.
It's nonsense to say that Hunts aren't intended to be shared when they've freshly added a "kill 1000 ShB S ranks" achievement with a mount attached. Achievements like this are only realistically possible by sharing hunts, linkshells and third party sites. They know this. It's a part of the game now.
A few minutes immunity, or the S rank zone message popping up a few minutes before spawn, wouldn't hurt. If someone complains about EP after that you can outright ignore them because the immunity means the Hunt has gone through a fair wait time.
Thanks for this. I'm mainly after it for the goal of wanting to eliminate drama. I just would like to do the hunt and not have to worry about people trying to farm notoriety and stuff like that. If it's made invincible for a little bit, then everyone will have a shot at it in that timeframe, miss it after that? Oh well.
Someone I know already reached 215 S rank kills in those zones lol. It's nonsense to say that Hunts aren't intended to be shared when they've freshly added a "kill 1000 ShB S ranks" achievement with a mount attached.
