Don't forget that if SE will add jump will be on 2.0 and the maps will be changed. For the little Images they show us on the art concept of 2.0 it seems that there will be areas with different levels of the terrain, also i recall one that was kinda a like a broken bridge, jump might fit perfectly on the new maps.

Ah, about your "feelings" that will be buggy, it depend mostly if the new areas are planned and developed with jump in mind or not.

Anyway IMO jumping will be nice to have, if we have big maps with complex enviroment will be fun to travel and explore them.

Couldn't agree more. Stuff shouldn't be thrown out because it *might* be buggy. We shouldn't try to implement swimming because it might be buggy. We shouldn't implement NMs on boats/airships because it might be buggy. The list goes on and ok it *might* be buggy but to totally cripple the idea of anything interesting being added because it might be hard to do right is totally the wrong approach.

I want them to push themselves and make FFXIV awesome; so I don't want them to back away from things because they might be hard to implement.
