    A GNB thread NOT complaining about the sfx

    I want to talk about two of the cartridge abilities: Burst Strike and Fated Circle. My problem is thus: why don't they interact with Continuation? Don't get me wrong: having too many skills work with Continuation could just bring us back to StB DRK, but (at least Burst Strike) feels really bleh to use in comparison to the Gnashing Fang combo. And then Fated Circle comes extremely late in the move list (72 why?!), especially when the AoE combo generates a cartridge as well.

    Personally, I think Sonic Break and Bow Shock should be rolled into Continuation off of Burst Strike and Fated Circle, making Continuation feel more cohesive to the move list, GNB overall faster, reduce button bloat, and make the less fun cartridge spenders feel more important and impactful. Fated Circle could also be brought down to Bow Shock's old learn spot. I only fear this may either ramp up the dps too much (since Sonic Break/Bow Shock are basically dps cooldowns) and may make it too busy with needing to maintain the Sonic Break DoT while also worrying about cooldowns.

    I would also kind of like a cooldown that uses the cartridge system and probably stick that on Burst Strike as well, but one thing at a time.

    Continuation will be way more spammy if it interact Burst strike (we use it way more often), and the feelling of having a huge burst of dmg will be weaker imo.
    Sonic break does stop the momentum of the continuation combo sometimes but bow shock is fine for me. Sonic break inside a continuation skill (or burst) could be nice, or just making it an ogcd.
    But Sonic break being on the gobal cooldown make the job bore diffucult too soo idk...

    I mean, I get it. I think it would have been nice if the Gnashing Fang combo replaced Burst Strike or if Burst Strike/Fated Circle both went oGCD (as well as Sonic Break), but then we start having a lot of oGCDs that need to be woven in which could bring us back to the mess that was StB DRK, which is something that I want to avoid. Personally, I also want cooldowns that use cartridges, but it seems they want to move away from those kinds of cooldowns.

    Sonic Break won't break your continuation combo btw. As for Fated circle, we already got 2 aoes early on, the third is a bonus. Every other job only has like 2 as is and if they're lucky 3. Burst Strike is there as a spender to keep you dealing nice damage and from capping on your cartridges. Idk about anyone else, but my rotation can have me resulting in gnashing fang + 2 burst strikes all in one swoop. If there's anything I hope, I hope burst strike just gets some sorta followup combo after it, just a simple 1-2. I think our skills are fine as they are, though I think our gnashing fang full combo should be given sooner to around 50, and continuation to 60. Everything else is fine, maybe bump up some of our mitigation numbers at least.

    You could have had the title say "Why does Burst Strike and Fated Circle separate from Continuation?" or something like that, but to humor you for a bit, those 2 weaponskills are basically GNB Fell Cleave/Decimate clones but way less spammy, unless you got enough skill speed to do that since TP is no longer an issue, and you basically you those skills when Gnashing Fang Combo is on cooldown, and when you get Bloodfest you basically have 3 Burst Strike or Fated Circle depending on the situation before reloading 2 more cartridges by doing to Solid Barrel combos in a row...
